This picture was taken 13 years ago on this exact date, when we went to one of many Halloween Horror Nights. I never thought much about the actual date but now September 29th is one of the worst days of my life. I don’t know how 3 years have gone by so fast. I still hear your laugh. I still use your “Daveisms”. I used one last night. I haven’t heard any fire alarms lately letting me know you’re around. I miss you with every fiber of my being and wish I could go back 3 years and stop this from happening. It’s not right doing this life without you. I love you Delovely! 💔💙 by @amyandcooper

Tomorrow my baby and I start the fight for his life. I have had many horrific moments in my life. Being told my brother was not going to live was the worst moment in my life. Being told Cooper has cancer is right behind that news. He had his surgery about a month ago and tomorrow he starts on the chemo. He will get a pill every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 6 months. I pray it will not make him sick from the medication. I pray it keeps the cancer from spreading forever. I pray I have my baby boy with me for many more healthy and happy years to come. We are not promised forever on earth, but I am selfish and want as much time possible. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Please also understand if I do not answer calls or texts for a while. The most important being on this planet is my only focus. I know he is strong and is a fighter and with all my heart, I pray he wins this war. #chihuahua #unconditionallove #mylove by @amyandcooper

Cooper starts chemo this week and I am extremely nervous and having anxiety about it. I know statistically dogs do better with chemo them humans and there’s a 20% chance that it could cause Gastro issues but it’s still scary. His cancer is a spreadable cancer, but it’s not fast acting and chemo is the best way to keep it from spreading hopefully. The oncologist seems more positive with the outlook, which is comforting, but it’s still my baby and chemotherapy. All the prayers positive thoughts and well wishes have been amazing and I ask if you could keep them coming. Hopefully he’ll have the treatment for six months and then we will have a long time until we have to revisit the next sessions. In a perfect world no animal would ever get sick or hurt, they would just be healthy and happy for the short time we have them. I will do anything to make sure my baby is OK and healthy and has the best quality of life. Thank you again for all of the support. Thank you so much to @juliatrubkina1993 her family and @kingdom.for.dogs for sending Cooper a special box with a special note. He’s had a rough few weeks and will be starting chemo in a couple of weeks. When Julia heard about him being sick, she sent him one of her amazing boxes. He was very excited to see his new toys. Both Cooper and I are so very thankful for your kindness, well wishes,!prayers, and all the goodies in his box. You are truly a caring and wonderful person with a huge heart! 🙏🏻🩵 by @amyandcooper

Cooper update. Thank you to everyone who has called, texted, sent DMs and are sending prayers and positive thoughts. His surgery was very rough. He had to go straight from his vet to the emergency vet for the night. Thankfully the VEG ER has rooms that I could stay with him all night. We have been to the vet every day except one since last Sunday. It’s a tough recovery and we are taking it moment by moment as we anxiously await hopeful good news. We need all the prayers, love and support now that the results show they were able to remove all of the tumor and for a miracle, for it to be benign. I need my little baby boy to be healthy and happy. It’s all I want. He is everything to me. Thank you again to all of you! 🙏🏻🩵 by @amyandcooper

Cooper saw his vet today and he confirmed there is something in his glands and he has to have surgery tomorrow to remove it. After they send it to see if it’s cancer or benign. Surgery is risky, especially in an older dog. Tomorrow is going to be so hard. I just wish it was over and he was home recovering and safe. I ask for your continued prayers and positive thoughts that he will make it through surgery and that the findings are positive. Thank you to everyone wishing him well. Please keep Cooper in your prayers and positive thoughts. He just has his birthday yesterday and now he is in the ER at the vet and they think it may be cancer and his blood pressure is very high and has to be here. I can’t believe this. I need all the prayers and positive energy that we can get. I cannot lose my baby. He is everything to me. 🙏🏻 by @amyandcooper
