Yesterday I received an extraordinary gift!

I’m incredibly humbled and inspired by the intimate lunch Marc and I shared with Alain and his daughter Clémence at our restaurant in Castagnito.

Alain’s last minute booking and gracious presentation of a bottle of his wine was a fabulous surprise on an otherwise uneventful Wednesday the end of August!

One-on-one time with two extraordinary humans—talking about great music, fine wine, natural wine, Western US travel in the 90’s, geopolitics, and all the things that make life interesting.

Alain’s wisdom, warmth and humanity, together with Clémence’s talent, courage and fresh perspective, made the afternoon truly special.

Some encounters stay with you. This one certainly will.

🍷Grateful for the wine, the conversation, and most of all, the gift of time shared with amazing people. ❤️

💞Talented, rebellious women wine producers pouring their rosé best paired to Marc’s seasonal cuisine🌱

🫶🏼It is my experience that behind each bottle of rosé wine there is a story to be told and an ingenious woman with a good idea!

🧙‍♀️I have been busy with the preparation on heirloom rose petal jelly, rose petal infused gelato and extra vergine olive oil.

💐Check out my “bouquet” of Vinaiole e join us for an evening of natural wine, courageous women in the vineyard and Marc’s Summer inspired tasting menu!

🌸Rosati Indigeni & Rose Antiche Friday 29th 7:30pm

The heirloom roses in S. Martino Alfieri are ready to be picked, the temperatures are summery, and the rosé wines are bottled and chilling nicely!

💐I have gathered my bouquet of women natural wine producers from the corners of Piedmont to celebrate the opening of rosé sipping season!
Giulia Gonella, Nicoletta Bocca, Francesca Marchisio, Deidre O’brein

🍇Rosé wines made from native grapes, each with a unique story to tell about their creation and continued existence.

👩🏻‍🌾These ladies are true characters, and their drive in the vineyard, cellar, and market is truly inspiring.

🥂The evening is not only about drinking wine and chit chat… although, perhaps it is! But Marc certainly won’t let you go hungry — he has created a fabulous seasonal menu paired with the wines, with a touch of rose.

💚 If you would prefer a vegetarian menu, just let us know!

We will all be seated together with the winemakers, so call me to book your seat.
