Found this gem of my sister and I from the early 2000s! 🥰

Please excuse the quality—smartphones weren't even a thing yet!
You can’t quite see them through the pixels, but we both had eyebrow piercings at the time (pop-punk and alt rock MTV days 🤘) ultimate commitment to the era.
The chunky blonde highlights cost me a grand total of $50.
We didn't have YouTube tutorials to teach us how to properly apply makeup, and it showed.

Those lace up, low-rise Parasuco jeans were my absolute favourite. (I had to work two full days at the call center just to afford them)
I wore them everywhere and eventually ruined them watching Blink-182 at Bayfest!
Worth it. 🤷‍♀️

This was back when social media didn’t exist yet.
When a customized status on MSN Messenger was all we needed to express ourselves...
until MySpace rocked our world a few years later. 😅

No cell phones, no filters, just real memories.
Life was so good. ❤️ by @amybromaroff

Fans on social media are debating whether the lyrics ("Years later, I still wonder how to tell you sorry") act as a retrospective apology to Tom Hiddleston, drawing parallels to "Getaway Car".

Can anyone tell me what this looks like?

Malia came home from school. The middle is raised. She is not itching it. She is low-verbal and is not answering me when I ask her if it hurts or if it's itchy etc.

I am thinking yellow jacket because they are everywhere right now, but I don't know. 🐝

My poor girl, this is the part of Autism that makes me so sad, because something like this can happen and she doesn't know how to properly communicate that to her teacher or to me. 😭 by @amybromaroff

September 11th is a dark, heavy day for so many people around the world. It’s a day marked by immense tragedy, where so many families lost the heroes in their lives—the people who stepped up, protected others, and never came home.
For me, the double weight of this date is that on September 11, 2015, I lost my hero, too.

My dad was only 59 when he passed away, but he was the person who kept me safe and protected me growing up.
It’s strange and painful when your quiet, private heartbreak aligns with a day of public tragedy.

Today, my heart goes out to everyone grieving their lost hero, and I’m holding tight to the memory of mine.

We miss you Dad. by @amybromaroff

What Autism looks like for us ❤️

🔊 1. Vocal Stimming: Those happy little sounds are her pure, unregulated joy coming out while on the swing!
💬 2. Immediate Echolalia: Repeating words right after hearing them to help her mind process what was said.
⚠️ 3. Impaired Danger Awareness: Letting go of the swing chain mid-air because her brain doesn't register the risk of falling.
🧠 4. Delayed Echolalia: Randomly bringing up "bubbles" from a conversation we had earlier about taking a bubble bath. It takes extra time for her to process and pull that memory back up.
🗣️ 5. Idiosyncratic Language (Word Substitution): Using unique words in place of others, like saying "orange" when she means "want".

Decoding low-verbal speech takes so much patience, and I misheard her in this clip at first!
At the time this video was recorded, I had not caught on to her using the word "orange" in place of "want".

Autism looks different on everybody. 🫂🧩❤️ by @amybromaroff

Parker was 11 years old.

13 days he was missing.

I read that the community gathered together and didn't stop until he was found. My heart is broken for this boy, his family and the community in Calgary. As a mother of an Autistic child, this is one of my biggest fears. I was told to call the police and give them her information and picture before she starts school in September. 49% of Autistic children attempt to elope at least once after reaching age 4.

74% of children elope directly from their own home or a relative's house.

40% elope from stores and 29% from school classrooms or school grounds.

More than half (53%) of the children who elope go missing long enough to cause intense worry. Among those who go missing, 65% face a close call with traffic injuries and 24% face a close call with drowning.

Roughly 35% of families with children who wander report that their child is rarely or never able to communicate their name, phone number, or address.

We need to have better protocols in place to keep these children safe. 🥹😔 by @amybromaroff

In 2005, I was 20 years old and living in my parent's basement while attending College. I remember watching the premiere of Supernatural and fell in love with it instantly.
5 years later I flew out to Vancouver alone and attended my first Supernatural Convention where I met Jensen for the first time.
I was able to attend two conventions after that, last one was in 2019.
Last weekend, I finally made it back to another convention. This time I was 40 years old and a mom of 3. Looking at this picture, the first thing I thought was, "wow, we look so much older!" 😂 but also, what a privilege.
Supernatural was and will always be a big part of my life.
In our own way, the SPN Universe is one big family. 🖤
