“Daughter”

@briellemyers_

choreography: @amyehulse

This is the first solo I’ve set on Brielle, and she was an absolute joy to work with. She always showed up ready to work with a smile on her face, even at 9:15 pm on a Thursday night.

Her attention to detail and strong work ethic shines through in her technique & artistry. I’m so proud of you Brielle!

“Feel It Still”

choreography: @amyehulse

2 time choreography award winners— and I never really knew what choreography @nishna.meesa_dance or @addelyn.s.dancer are going to do during their solo parts, so it truly was a group effort! They earned it as much as I did

All jokes aside, these dancers worked so hard to put a clean routine on stage. We competed this routine 5 times, and never put the same roster onstage twice. We always had alternates filling in or new dancers stepping into the routine completely to take over for someone else, sometimes with a weeks notice (shoutout @violetlewis07!) Everyone took it in stride and the judges took no notice.

I could not be prouder of the challenges they faced and the grace in which they handled it. Love you all!

“Bird on a Wire”

@navywittgren

choreography: @amyehulse

costume: @a.renee_designsdance

When I grow up I want leg lines like navy wittgren’s…

In all honesty, this solo is deceptively hard. The control, the details, the softness of the song leaves very little room for margin of error. Navy worked diligently all season to master the tiny little details that bring this routine together. Her leg lines and jumps are out of this world, but her balance, control and transition work are what really helped her bring this piece to another level. I loved refining it together each week and am so proud with how it turned out. Thank you for working so hard Navy, proud of you!

“Get Down”

@jordin.berg

choreography: @amyehulse

What is there to say about Jordin other than WOW!? She is a performer from the moment she steps onstage. This routine was a challenge with the heels and the transition work, but Jordin embraced it wholeheartedly. I’m thrilled with how much effort and hard work she poured into this piece, and her persistence paid off and then some. She had a truly stellar season. Heaps proud of you Jordin 🤍

“I Called Them Mine”

@violetlewis07

choreography: @amyehulse

costume: @eclairdancewear

I sent this song to Violet and said “hear me out but I have an idea” and she just rolled with it. I love how she embodied this piece from start to finish and she tackled all of it head on from the start. To know her is to love her, she is an absolute pleasure to work with and a joy to watch on stage. Love you big!!

“Hotel California”

My open style muse @channingk_dance

What a journey we’ve had! From baby bog monster to desert princess, thank you for embracing my weird and collaborating with me on three out of the box solos. I’ve loved pushing my creativity through our three years working together.

Your confidence and stage presence unfolded so much this year. I loved the ease and playful energy you continued to bring to each performance. I love you and am proud of you!

“Below My Feet”

choreography: @amyehulse

costumes: @seamssospecial

These. Dancers.

I go into every season with zero expectations, because you never know exactly how a dance will come together, but I knew after choreography that this group was going to be more than I ever could have imagined.

I am thrilled with how well these kids rose to the challenge, and how much heart and soul they poured into each performance. Never forget how capable you are! Love you all to pieces!
