Halloween....2026... #halloween#2026#running#fun#party by @amykettrick
My hardest and slowest marathon to date. My chip time doesn't make me happy, but I worked through the pain, didn't quit and completed a marathon. Physically and mentally the most challenging marathon I have done. Couldn't have done it without all the messages of support, cheering stations and friends out on the course pushing me on 💪🏼 Going to take care of this injury and make a comeback in the spring! Sub 3:30... LET'S GO!! @towaterfront42k #injury#hardwork#marathon#running#letsgo by @amykettrick
Finished a marathon.....that's it!!! Was it my best time.....marathon pace wise? No!!! Did I finish? Yes! Was I in pain? Yes! Did I have fun? Also yes!!! 4:00:56 proud of myself for pushing through 💪🏼 Marathons are hard!! Congratulations to all who raced today and cheered....was so nice seeing you all out there. Thank you for all your support ❤️ #marathonsarehard#marathon#pain#paincave#mentalpush by @amykettrick
Might not make it....but we're going to try anyways....cause why not? #running#marathon#torontolife#tryhard#letsgo by @amykettrick
Keep showing up... And good luck to all my Chicago marathon runners... It is amazing and YOU will be amazing! Soak it all in and have the best time! #chicagomarathon#showup#running#training#hardwork by @amykettrick
Starting a running club, during COVID... brought to me amazing friendships @whitbyrunninggroup A wedding of 2 of the most amazing people...to saying goodbye to a dear friend. Going to miss the banter that @torontohiker brings to the runs.... We will all miss you @torontohiker #friendship#runningfamily#running#friends#friendsforever by @amykettrick
Sometimes the mind wants to keep going....but your body just can't. Am I stubborn? YES! Should I have downgraded to the half distance before the race? YES! Should I have taken more time to recover after Boston? YES! Did I listen to my body on race day? YES! Did I learn a lot? Also YES! Will I make the same mistakes? NO! Sometimes the best thing we get out of a training block is the lessons we learn....and that makes it totally worth it! #injury#listentoyourbody#training#running#marathontraining by @amykettrick
Sometimes your body just says no....showed up and listened to what the body said. @georginamarathon #marathontraining#listen#runanotherday#training#smart by @amykettrick
As most know...I have NOT had the best training block.. Probably started running too soon after Boston.... lesson learned!!! Hamstring/Glute irritation this whole block. Going to still run on Sunday....if I have to take it easy, I take it easy 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'll get my chance to break 3:30 at the Toronto Waterfront in 6 weeks if it doesn't feel right. Recovery and rest after races is a must.... especially after giving it your all.... A truly important message I have learned this training block....and that to me is infinatly the best thing I could have gotten from this! #marathontraining#recovery#lessons#growth#goals by @amykettrick
Finally a long run!!!! 2 parts... Part 1 was outside in the rain and a tornado watch came rolling through... Part 2 took it inside to avoid the tornado watch... 31km.....finally ☺️ 41 days until @georginamarathon #runningintherain#running#marathon#marathontraining#recovery by @amykettrick
Recovery week.... Would rather be running...but cycling is a close second place in my heart. Also.... Why does cycling gear have to look so lame? #cycling#recovery#hamstring#running#triathlon by @amykettrick
