40th Celebrations Round 2 || Home 💞 🏡 💞

I haven’t celebrated my birthday at home in Mareeba, FNQ since my 21st, so when I asked Mum and Dad they jumped straight on it and turned their stunning sanctuary into the most gorgeous outdoor party! The cutest entrance signs, the gorgeous cake backdrop and seating areas…mums Pinterest board finally came to life! They cooked over 60 pizzas in the weeks leading up to the party, plus all the other amazing food…and my favourite custard sponge cake!

The biggest thank you to my siblings and nephews for helping with the setup, and huge thanks to all my extended family and friends that came to celebrate with me and welcoming @kane__cos with open arms (can’t wait for the quiz of everyone’s names on the next visit 🤣)
Was the most perfect night and the sorest head the next day! Fireball and home made 43 Liqueur from my Uncle Peter will eventually get ya!

@cattycat_13 💞💞💞💞

Side note: Last slide; while I was in Cairns, me and my lifelong besties got matching tattoos by the awesome @little_tatties for our 40th birthdays this year!! Was so special to share this moment with you both @jessica.mete @elr85 🫶🏼🙏🏼

Ps. I’m officially 40th’ed out! You can now unsubscribe! taken in Mareeba, Queensland by @amymete

40th Celebrations Round 1 || “The Mete Gala” 🥂

Surprise Performance - the amazing and beautiful @joannemusik and incredible DJ @damianandres

I met Joanne back in 2003 and instantly fell in love! Her beauty, kindness, generosity and talent is like no other. Every weekend over a span of 8 years we would hang out, watch her absolutely annihilate gigs and bond.

2 years ago I had the idea of asking her to perform at my party and everything I dreamt of became a reality!!! When I text her last year, I knew immediately this was going to be something special. Massive shout out to @bradda and Ruby from @younghearts.melbourne for helping us bring this to life!

Joanne and Damian curated the most epic set list, and one of my requests Free Your Mind by En Vogue was absolutely stellar (slide 7)!! Let’s also not forget the La Bouche and Dr. Dre mix… 🧑‍🍳 😘
You both went above and beyond and I’m eternally grateful. Seeing everyone’s face when Joanne appeared was priceless!

Scroll through for some epic moments captured by friends and family!!! Slide 5 - “Jackie” 25th anniversary remix was INSANE and the love I felt in that room was so special! 🫶🏼

Clearly, no fun was had! 😝

Side note: thank you @matthewchasejenson for fixing my strap, @elle_manda for the all the pics and @yvettelee_ @maxtrengove @mitchell.fistrovicdoidge and @mrmichaelralph for the balcony flashmob! Epic! by @amymete
