HUGE water slide. Experimenting with lacquer and enamel which resulted in a crinkled surface. This texture lent itself nicely to what these shopping bags actually look like in the wild.

Computer Techniques For Screen Printing

Class No.14828 & 14829 Tues 3pm-6:35pm

This course covers setting up pre-press files for screenprinting through using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat on Macs. Students learn to separate colors, create posterized images and halftone conversion for screenprinting output. Printing demos help illustrate why proper file set up is key. Thus putting theory into practice.

This class is essential for burgeoning creatives expanding on their professional skills. These computer skills are applicable not just to screenprinting but also to offset printing, digital printing production and other production design manufacturing techniques.

The spring semester starts February 9th, while this class starts the second week of the semester, which is right before the add/drop deadline. Don't wait until the last minute and please feel free to shoot me any questions. 😉 by @amyortizart

Join us for our end of semester show in the Fish Bowl at LATTC. The show runs Wednesday Dec 17- Friday Dec 19. Reception with the artists is Dec 17 from noon-2pm. We'll be showcasing work from students in our Visual Communications and Sign Graphics departments. Techniques demonstrated range from screenprinting, gilding, sign painting, graphic design and illustration through game design.

Attention LATTC Screenprint students!!! Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions about this. But ultimately, your success is dependent upon your participation and attendance. Missing class means you're missing out on valuable lessons. The truth is, this is a skill which has many tiers and a shaky foundation leads to frustration and failure.

See you guys on the first day, Saturday, September 6th. ✌️

This summer granted me the unique opportunity of being able to join @emmanuel.sev in his mural class at LATTC. Joining the teaching staff within Sign Graphics has delivered more than I could ever imagine. This role gives me an unreal fulfillment. Here's to wrapping up a stellar summer session and preparing for an even better fall and spring! 🫟
