Happy sweet 16 @thirstproject 🌎💙💦
It was an honor and a pleasure to be part of this inspiring evening and to co-host the live auction with @mike_manning_ + @abbeypmay

Each year, ordinary people (+ Hollywood's brightest) come together to raise funds for clean water projects around the world, helping people get their most basic needs met and making progress towards ending the global water crisis.

I'm in awe of you @sethmaxwell1 and what you've accomplished in 16 years. It's encouraging and hopeful that we will see an end to this problem in our lifetime.

In a time when government funding for projects like this is being slashed, nights like this prove the power of community, shared vision, empathy and purpose.

Each Gala leaves me feeling lifted - catching up with old friends and making several new ones.

Thankful for my husband, @drewseeley for shouldering daddy and doggy duty so I could get dressed up and use my gifts and privilege in the service of something bigger than myself. Life is hard for a lot of people right now, including us and getting a break from the hard stuff allows me to come back to it with renewed strength.

Having my sister @flywithbritt96 by my side and my ancestors on my back (My dress is the one our deceased sister wore to homecoming in 1997 🥹) gave me the strength, courage and confidence to show up as my highest self and help this org raise over $260,000.

Here's to the next 16 years and to the day when this organization is obsolete.

43 and returning to the person I'm meant to be 🌞🌙✨

Unlearning so much at my big age.

Here are some guiding principles I live by:

Home is my sanctuary
Adventure brings growth
Slow mornings are the default
Delight and whimsy are not optional
Childhood is finite and I am here for it
Work is important but it's not who I am
Relationships are hard and repair is always possible
Caring is cool
Being a helper is the coolest
Using your privilege is the bare minimum
Not everyone will understand me and that's okay
Anger is sacred when alchemized into focused action

My life is not perfect but I am immensely blessed 🫶🏻

I'm dedicating my birthday to @hand4gaza an organization helping displaced Palestinians with food, water and life affirming treats. Consider donating $22 (link in their bio) and bringing a little hope and joy to these families who have lost everything and are continuing to suffer with no end in sight.

No one is free until all of us are free.

Awe. Wonder. Nature. You guys, this really is worth protecting. Our yearly pilgrimage to be with the trees always satisfies and soothes my souls. Conservation efforts in our National Forests don't just ensure our grandkids get to experience this - but makes it so for 80 generations to come. Til next year 🌳 by @amypaffrath

I do tradwife sh*t but I'm anything but. Yes, I made these matching dresses and I homeschool my child but we are as untraditional as it gets. Taking time to celebrate the quiet ending of another school year (a month ago already). All the hard work, organization, changing of strategies, planning extra curriculars and staying on top of lessons goes largely unnoticed. So this is an appreciation post for the teamwork it took to complete 1st grade. Ember scored in the top percentage of her Reading and Math MAP tests, too. Proud of us and our world schooling journey 📚🤓

May was for mind-blowing (matriarchal) live shows 🎶

@raye gave a helluva performance - one of the best I've ever seen. Her music, sense of humor and triumph over being SA'd helped heal a part of me that was still aching and in need of catharciss.

@florence gave us all permission to scream about misogyny, inequality and women's rights 🗣️

Both women wore red and were barefoot ushering in a new standard of female sensuality ♥️

@moamer brought the laughs and love for 🇵🇸

First time at the LA County Fair was to see my friend @maryscholz who uses her voice to speak about injustice and liberation ✊🏻

The Sound of Music and its jarring Nazi symbolism reminds us that Fascism is not a thing of the past.

If I'm spending money to see a performance I want to feel something deep in my soul. This month's shows did not disappoint.

Not every opportunity is meant for you… and that’s a good thing✨

In this clip, Amy @amypaffrath and I talk about why discernment is so important in this industry. Just because something pays well or gets attention doesn’t mean it aligns with who you are.

If you’re promoting something you don’t genuinely believe in, people can feel that. And eventually, so can you.

When you stay true to yourself and move in alignment with your values, the right opportunities start flowing toward you… and the wrong ones naturally fall away.

You have to ask yourself: what am I actually comfortable making money from?

Because at the end of the day, your decisions stay attached to your name. Make choices you can stand by.
