Faith-filled, healthy motherhood — helping women find more joy, energy, nourishment, and purpose in everyday life. 🩵

POSTS STORIES REELS

Hey, I’m so glad you’re here! 🤍

If we’re new friends, here’s a little about me.

First and foremost, I love Jesus and am continually learning what it looks like to follow Him in the everyday moments of life.

I’m a wife, a homeschooling mama of five, a boy mom, and in the process of moving my family to Africa.

I love a good faith conversation, time with my family, and finding ways to make our home a place where faith, connection, and growth are part of everyday life.

I also love health and fitness — but with grace. 🙌🏼

I’m passionate about helping women care for their bodies without getting caught up in perfection, guilt, or the pressure to do it all. I love creating meal plans and workout plans, sharing health tips, and making healthy, allergy-friendly food my family can enjoy.

Around here, you’ll find a little bit of everything that makes up my life:

✝️ Faith and honest conversations about following Jesus
🤍 Motherhood, homeschooling, and raising five kids
💪🏼 Health and fitness with grace
🥑 Healthy, allergy-friendly recipes and baking
🌿 Practical wellness tips and encouragement for women
🌍 A peek into our life as missionaries in Africa
💕 Mother-daughter moments and all the real-life stuff in between

My hope is that this space encourages you in your faith, helps you care for yourself and your family, and reminds you that you don’t have to do everything perfectly to live intentionally.

If you’re a woman who loves Jesus, wants to grow in her health, is navigating motherhood, or simply needs a little encouragement for the season you’re in, I’d love to have you here.

Tell me a little about YOU in the comments! What season of life are you in right now? 🤍 by @amypgarland

A little about my heart for healthy living 🤍

I’m not passionate about healthy living because I think moms need one more thing on their already overflowing plates.

I’m passionate about it because I know what it feels like to be the mom whose plate is already overflowing.

I’m a homeschooling mom of five, a ministry wife, and a woman who has known the weight of overwhelm, anxiety, panic attacks, anger, and depression.

I wanted so badly to live with joy, be present with my family, and enjoy the life right in front of me. But so often, I felt trapped by the very full life I loved.

What began to make a difference wasn’t a perfect routine or an elaborate wellness plan. It was learning simple, life-giving rhythms and systems that helped me care for myself in the middle of real life.

And no, I’ve not arrived. 😂

I’m still navigating the craziness of motherhood, homeschooling, ministry life, and raising teenagers (a whole new level of busy!). I’m still not getting enough sleep and still have plenty of “What in the world am I doing?!” moments. 🙃

But I’ve learned that caring for ourselves doesn’t have to wait until life slows down, and it doesn’t have to be complicated to make a difference.

That’s why I want to be a voice of grace and compassion in a world that makes health and nutrition feel so noisy and overwhelming.

I want to share practical tools and simple rhythms that help us steward our bodies and souls without making wellness another source of pressure.

More than anything, I want the busy momma who feels like she’s barely holding it together to know this:

You are not alone. 🤍

You don’t have to do everything perfectly to take a meaningful step toward caring for yourself. The small things matter. Your health matters. And the work you’re doing in your home and with your family matters more than you probably realize.

My hope is to cheer you on and help you find simple ways to live fully alive and on mission with joy and hope.

Not someday when life gets easier, but right here in the beautiful, messy, exhausting, meaningful life you’re living today.

I’m so glad you’re here. 🤍 by @amypgarland

✨ IT’S HERE! Introducing Sweets, Kindly. ✨

This is one of the most personal projects I’ve ever created, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you! 🤍

I’ve always loved baking. For me, it’s about so much more than what comes out of the oven. It’s one of the ways I love people.

So when health issues and food allergies changed the way I could bake for my family, I was devastated. But eventually, that disappointment turned into determination.

I began creating sweet treats that were kinder to our bodies without sacrificing the flavors, textures, and joy that make them special. And over time, that passion became something of its own.

After years of baking, creating, and answering your requests for these recipes, I’m finally bringing them together in one place!

Meet Sweets, Kindly — my sweet treats cookbook featuring 30 delicious, thoughtfully made recipes. 🎉

Every recipe is dairy-free, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free, with many also nut-free and grain-free.

More than anything, this book is about believing that food restrictions don’t have to mean missing out. You can nourish your body, enjoy something wonderful, and still make beautiful memories around the table. ✨

This cookbook is a little piece of my heart, and I can’t wait for you to get your hands on it!

🤍 Sweets, Kindly is officially here!

Comment SWEETS below or send me a DM, and I’ll send you the link to order yours!

And if you know someone who would love these recipes, I’d be so grateful if you shared this with them.

Thank you for being part of this journey and helping bring this little dream to life. It means more than you know.

Here’s to making something sweet, kindly. ✨ by @amypgarland

The unknowns and uncertainties of the future tug at my heart and rob me of peace quicker than I’d like to admit.

Following Jesus terrifies me.

It doesn’t feel safe at all.
It feels so far beyond my comfort zone and so very unfamiliar and HARD.

After all He said it would mean denying myself, and taking up my cross. He said it would mean suffering.

How do I choose such a way? How do I willingly follow Him into the storm?

I remember the alternative.

The alternative is living in darkness.
The alternative is never knowing the brightness of His glory and the power of His rising.
The alternative is hopelessness.

God, grant me faith to count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing and gaining Christ.

His path is a hard and holy one, but it is also the only way of hope. by @amypgarland

The truth is, life has felt really heavy this past year.

Almost like I haven’t fully come up for air since Asher was in the hospital a year ago.

Somewhere between motherhood, work, responsibilities, caring for everyone else, and simply trying to keep moving forward… I think I lost a little bit of myself.

And I’ve found myself asking, When did I stop feeling fully alive in the life I’m so grateful to have?

I don’t want to stay there.

I’m not waiting for life to get easier or for some future version of myself to finally have it all together.

I want to learn how to live fully alive right now.

Not perfectly. Just faithfully. 🤍

And I have a feeling I’m not the only momma who needs that reminder.

So I’m creating a little space for us.

A space for solidarity, encouragement, accountability, and grace.

A place to remind each other that we’re worth showing up for, that small steps matter, and that we can always begin again.

Because this is about more than taking better care of ourselves.

It’s about taking back hope.
Taking back purpose.
Taking back joy.
And being fully present in the life God has given us.

I’m choosing this for myself.

And I’d love for some of you to choose it with me.

No shame. No comparison. No perfectionism.

Just a bunch of mommas saying:

“I want to feel alive again — and I don’t want to do it alone.” 🤍

If your heart is saying, Yes. I need this too, text me ALIVE and I’ll send you the details.

Come do this with me. by @amypgarland

Raise your hand 🙋‍♀️ if there are times in your day, week, or month when you feel like your body is working against you because your hormones just feel… off.

First, let me tell you my story. 🤍

After my third miscarriage in less than two years, my body crashed.

I was exhausted. Bloated. Moody. Not sleeping. And honestly, I felt like a stranger in my own skin.

I knew something was off, and I needed to give my body some extra support.

That’s when I started using two supplements:

✨ A high-quality multivitamin
✨ A hormone-support formula

And over time, I noticed a real shift:

💙 More energy
💙 Deeper, more restful sleep
💙 Better digestion
💙 Fewer mood swings
💙 And most importantly… I started feeling like me again.

These formulas are clean, clinically tested, and packed with nutrients that can be especially important for women, including:

🌿 Magnesium — supports sleep, digestion & overall hormone health
🌿 Folate — supports cellular health & hormone function
🌿 Vitamin D — supports immunity & mood
🌿 Chromium — supports healthy blood sugar & cravings
🌿 GLA — supports hormone balance & a healthy inflammatory response

And maybe you haven’t experienced a major hormonal hit like I did.

Maybe you’ve just slowly drifted away from the version of yourself who felt steady, energized, vibrant, and clear.

If you’ve been feeling off, it may be time to give your body a little more support. 🩵

So I’m opening a 30-day TEST GROUP starting Monday, October 5!

For 30 days, you’ll get:

✨ The supplements
✨ Support + coaching
✨ Tips and guidance along the way
✨ A community of women doing it with you
✨ And a chance to see what kind of shift you notice in your own body

30 days to feel the shift — or get your money back.

If you’re ready to see how you feel with a little extra support, drop a 🩵 below or DM me “TEST GROUP” and I’ll send you the details.

Let’s feel good again.
Together. 🤍 by @amypgarland

It’s the 6th week of another year of homeschooling… #year14. ❤️

And after 14 years, I still feel so inadequate. So unable. So unprepared.

I never feel completely ready for this.

But God.

When we started homeschooling 14 years ago, I never imagined we’d still be doing it. We still re-evaluate every year because I’m not locked into anything.

Our homeschool journey, like so much of my life, has been a beautiful mess.

And somehow, the miracle of miracles is that I’ve grown to love it. Most of the time. 😉 (The perfectionist, control-freak side still makes an occasional appearance. 😬🤪)

I’m learning that this isn’t about having it all together. It’s not about the perfect curriculum, schedule, or homeschool space.

It’s about faith ful ness.

Full-of-faith-ness.

And isn’t that motherhood, too?

Whether you homeschool, send your kids to school, do online school, or find yourself somewhere in between—we’re all learning to trust God with the people He’s entrusted to us.

Trusting Him when we feel capable… and when we feel completely inadequate.

Trusting Him when our best doesn’t feel like enough.

Trusting Him when motherhood is messy and doesn’t look anything like we imagined.

Because God is enough.

He makes beauty out of ashes. He is faithful in our weakness. And He can take our imperfect offerings and make something beautiful from them.

Fourteen years in, I need that reminder just as much as ever.

Maybe you do, too. ❤️

So, momma, wherever you are in this journey: I see you. I’m with you. You are not alone.

This is hard, messy, beautiful, rewarding work.

Give yourself some grace. Keep showing up. Keep trusting. Keep going.

And come tell me: What are you trusting God with in this season?

Drop a picture of your homeschool space, your students, your classroom drop-off, your kitchen table covered in schoolwork—whatever your version of this season looks like.

Let’s remind each other that we’re not doing this alone. ❤️ by @amypgarland

Okay, I’m doing something a little fun this week. ❤️

Our 21st wedding anniversary is coming up, and because we’re preparing for our move to Africa, there’s not exactly extra money in the budget for a fancy date.

So I’m creating a tiny “anniversary fund” by offering a few things I’m good at!

This week I’m opening a handful of spots for:

🥗 Custom 7-Day Meal Plans — $35
I’ll create a healthy, genuinely delicious meal plan based on your family’s preferences, schedule, and budget, including a grocery list.
Spots are limited. First come, first served.

🍪 A Small Batch of My Favorite Homemade Clean Treats — $10
(Your choice between brownies, granola, or chocolate chip cookies.)
I’m only making a limited number, so I’m doing pre-orders, first come first served. To be delivered by next weekend.

If you’ve been meaning to get some help with meals, or just want something delicious, message me! 😊

And if you don’t need any of those things, sharing this with a friend would mean so much.

We’re trying to celebrate 21 years of marriage in a really sweet season of stepping out in faith—and I’m determined to take my husband on a date. ❤️ by @amypgarland

One of the things I didn’t expect from these 30 days was how much God would show me about me.

I went into this month thinking I needed some space to get quiet and discern how I wanted to show up on social media.

And God, in His kindness, used that quiet to show me things I hadn’t seen clearly before.

Pride.
Fear.
Places where I was looking for approval.
Places where I was trying to control what I needed to surrender.

And honestly, some of it was uncomfortable to see.

But it was also freeing.

Because when God brings something into the light, He’s not doing it to shame us. He’s inviting us into freedom.

I’m learning that I don’t want to be so concerned with how I’m showing up that I neglect who I’m actually becoming.

That’s true for social media, but also for motherhood, marriage, ministry—for everything.

I’m still very much in the middle of that process, but I’m grateful for a God who loves me enough to show me the places where I need Him. Even when I didn’t know I needed Him there. 🤍

And if you’re in a season where God is showing you things in yourself you wish you weren’t seeing, don’t run from it.

You don’t have to be ashamed. You don’t have to fix it all.

Let Him bring it into the light. Because what He reveals, He can redeem. And the God who is faithful enough to show you what needs to change is faithful enough to walk with you through the changing. by @amypgarland

Turns out, stepping away helped me see what I’d been missing all along. 🤍

A little less scrolling. A lot more living. And a whole lot of gratitude.

I’m back — with a little more clarity, a little more intention, and excited for what’s next. ✨ by @amypgarland

I’m back. 🤍

I stepped away from social media for the last 30 days—not because anything was wrong, but because I needed some space.

Space to get quiet.
Space to listen.
Space to pray.
Space to really discern how I believe God is asking me to show up in this space.

So much has changed in my life since I first started sharing here. And honestly, I’ve been feeling the need to reconsider what my presence on social media is for.

I don’t want to share simply because I have something to post.

I don’t want this space to be a blow-by-blow account of my days or a place where I feel like I have to document everything.

I want to be more intentional.

I want to share the things that are worth sharing—the things that bring hope, joy, encouragement, truth, or practical value.

I want to share what God is teaching me.
The beautiful and hard parts of motherhood and homeschooling.
Things that have genuinely helped our family.
Healthy habits and favorite finds that I actually love.
And, of course, our family’s journey toward serving as missionaries in Africa.

Most of all, I want this space to point beyond me.

If I’m going to spend time here, I want it to be time well spent—for me and for you.

So going forward, I’m hoping for a little less noise and a lot more intention.

Less “here’s everything I did today.”

More “here’s something I think might encourage you.”

Less pressure to be everywhere.

More freedom to show up when I actually have something meaningful to say.

I’m not sure exactly what this next season of sharing will look like—and I’m okay with that.

I just know I want to steward this little corner of the internet differently.

And I’m really excited to see what God does with it. 🤍 by @amypgarland

Nineteen years ago, a squalling, pink, adorable, squirming baby boy was safely delivered into our arms and our lives were forever changed!!!!
(SWIPE TO SEE 19 years of change!!❤️😭)

What words could describe the incredible gift our Jacob David is?

From day one you have been amazing and inspiring us. You are full of life and joy! Your creativity entertains and astounds us. Your compassion and tender heart make you the best big brother and friend anyone could ever ask for. Your humble, honest attitude has been used countless times to address the pride in our own hearts. Your love for Jesus and passion to make Him famous is contagious and convicting.

You, my son, are a means of indescribable grace!

You are tender and compassionate, gracious, kind, and wise beyond your years, and you feel deeply with and for others.

You are a man of conviction and confidence, yet never trample others to exalt yourself.

You pray like a man who knows God and trusts Him and you have often ministered mercy to me by your prayers.

You exude gratitude.

Everyone that knows you loves you and wants you around. What a delight you are!!

You are the real deal!

There is truly no greater joy than seeing you, my son, walk in truth.

Happy 19th Birthday, my beloved firstborn!
We love you so much and are incredibly humbled and thankful to our Heavenly Father for His good gift to us and the world in you! by @amypgarland
