Amy and Lincoln.
.
I’ve been privileged to photograph Amy for years now. She’s the kind of friend I can call up and tell her my crazy ideas and she says, “let’s do it.”
.
This studio session was magic. No excessive planning. No real goal other than to be unabashedly themselves and capture it. Amy’s dad even came and jumped in some of the photos.
.
It’s sessions like this one that fills my cup to over flowing.

All shot on film and developed @thefindlab

This is proof that you’ll be a happy traveler when you have a foot hammock! It slips over the seat tray and allows you to raise your knees up. I sleep better and I’m more comfortable on long flights with one.

@myraelle tested and approved!

Now for the finish!!! Castile soap has been diluted with water, whipped into a froth, and applied to the plaster surface while it is still slightly wet (but cured enough not to smudge).

The fatty acids in the olive oil soap react with the lime to form a natural, water-resistant calcium stearate barrier.

You have to polish the soap into the plaster, enhancing the sheen and ensuring the pores are fully closed.

I think the problem was I added boiling water to the Jell-O powder, instead of adding the Jell-O to a pot of boiling water and stirring it while it continued to boil. Either that or lemon Jell-O is just a little bitch. If you know anything about working with Jell-O, I want to hear it!

Psyanky Easter Egg arts n crafts class was 10/10 with @betsycroftpottery my execution does not get as high marks, sadly. I was disappointed because I grew up doing these with my aunt Meg and thought I would crush it. I’m itching to try again and actually do it better.

I had so much fun working with Liz on my tinsel epaulettes. She was so thorough! The first thing she did was check my measurements talk about how long I wanted things how tall I was. What my shoulders were like.

Everything was custom and bespoke to me and it was so fun picking out colors over videos sent back and forth. I love red paired with pink and purple. There’s a clashy yum yum in it.

What am I making these for? I don’t know yet. I just knew I had to have a pair in my closet.

What are the best 2-4 player card games?
There’s a tiny window where I can wear a sweater and not overheat, so Aubrey and I cruised up the canyon for sweater day. Sweater and river, fire, mountains, dusk, beer, burger.

I taught her how to play gin.
I bring cards everywhere. We’re talking trains planes and bars across the world.

It’s a simple life hack:
learn a game, carry it with you.
You’ll never be bored.
And you’ll always have a way in.

Pep talk from @myraelle while we are trying to decide where to stay in Scotland. I am incredibly frustrated that we are two adults traveling with a child and so many hotels will not allow three people in a room. Several times after doing all the research on location and looking at all the photos I went to book a hotel and they would not allow a third person. Like what are families supposed to do? I’m struggling! I can’t afford to stay where I want to stay if I have to get two rooms.

Give us all your Scotland recommendations! Then we’re going to Dublin, so that is welcome too!

Steal this idea 🌸

You get maybe a week or two of blossoms.

So text your friends,
grab blankets,
brings something beautiful,
and sit under a tree that’s putting on a show.

Eat it up. Stay longer. Look up.

It goes fast.
Tag me! I want to see you enjoy your blossoms!
