Haven't been posting for a while and thought I'd post this suuuper old edit. (It's probably the oldest unposted edit I still have on my phone). I made this either in 2020 or 2021. Some of you might remember my huge Ally Hills obsession back then (especially those who followed my spam acc cause I did not shut up about her). Her videos and music will always take me back to a very specific time in my life.
-
I still haven't figured out the issue I'm having with my editing program since I changed from windows to linux on my laptop so it's only gonna be old edits till that's sorted out. (I still have a couple old ones that I'd probably never post otherwise cause they're shit but I guess now you're getting them anyway xD)

Happy International Buffy Day!!

I've never shared my Buffyverse (plus Firefly, Dollhouse, Dr. Horrible and some Nirvana sprinkled in) collection online, so I thought what better time than to celebrate #internationalbuffyday

I made the slayer scythe and Faith's knife years ago with the help of my parents.
There's more in my collection like many trading cards, a few other comics, DVDs, shirts, posters, a mousepad and claddagh ring but this is almost everything.

(Lots of this has JW's name on it. I obviously don't support him tho!)

I wrote the following in my email to Hulu:

"I have been a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer since I was 9 years old and no other piece of media has impacted me the way it did and still does to this day.

The Buffyverse is so much more than just TV. Its philosophy has shaped the way I view and think about the world. It has taught me so many valuable lessons and helps me whenever I need it. The characters mean so much to me and this sense of community has translated into real life as well because I have made so many wonderful friendships due to this show. Buffy Studies in academia sparked my interest in media and literature analysis which I study at university now. This goes to show how much Buffy has shaped my life and there are countless other examples.

As you can undoubtedly see from the outpouring of love for this show, the Buffy fandom is still going strong and we're not going anywhere. The story of the Slayer still matters. We still watch, talk and care about it and so many of us are devastated that the continuation that was planned is now not going to happen.
I truly hope you will reconsider this decision.

And since in this world decisions are not just based on love for art and important stories but also about money, I want to say that I have spent a fair amount of money over the years on Comic Cons and Buffy merchandise, which a lot of other fans have too. And of course all of us would be streaming the Buffy continuation a lot, as we do the original. So beyond being an important and impactful show that matters to so many people, continuing Buffy is also profitable for you."

This has been my favorite Paramore performance for so, so many years! I started making this edit ages ago in honor of the very lesbian experience (lots of gay panic) I had when watching this performance for the first time and I just recently added some clips because I had never finished it and I'm mostly posting old edits right now anyway, so I hope you enjoy :)
-
What are your favorite Paramore performances if you have any? (Dm me the links cause I wanna watch them!!)

Sdt: @buffyoof obviously! My favorite fellow Hayley stan 🥰🫶🏻

Happy birthday, Liza!! 🥳🎉

I hope you have an amazing day! I love that we met because of Firefly (and Morena specifically) and then over the time found so many other fandoms that we share like Arcane and NoahFinnce and Heartstopper etc. And I also adore that we both care so much about environmental action like we legit just talked about. It's so awesome!! I'm so glad you're my friend! I'm sorry I often take long to respond but please know that doesn't mean that I don't care or don't love talking to you because I really do!!
-
And ofc I had to post the Kaylee/Inara edit for you! Remember this edit from 2023? I never posted it and I thought your birthday is the perfect day to finally do so :) Hope you enjoy!! by @amysalyson

I should be doing things for uni but instead I made this cause I'm currently back in my "The L Word" era.
Papi, Shane, Carmen, Bette and Marina >>> ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
It's not just a figure of speech, they got me down on my knees 🧎🏼‍♀️🛐
Couldn't include every woman from that show that I have a crush on cause then the edit would've been way too long but these are the main ones <3
Can't believe I've only ever edited Shane (and Carmen) when Papi and Bette are also right there!! Fixed that now :)

"I hope you're happy but don't be happier"
Shane's POV
-
AU where Shane and Carmen broke up and then Carmen (aka Shaw) got together with Root.
Just had to make this edit because Sarah Shahi is part of two of my all time favorite sapphic ships! (Shaw/Root from Person of Interest and Carmen/Shane from The L Word)
Also I made a version of this edit with Amy Acker's characters (so Fred and Wesley were together and then Fred (aka Root) got together with Shaw. So Wes had the POV that Shane has in this edit). I started this edit right after I had finished the one with Amy's characters in 2021 and then never finished it and suddenly I'm back in my Shoot and Sharmen era so I had to finally finish and post it now after 4 years.
Enjoy <3

Can you tell I'm in my "But I'm a Cheerleader" obsession era?
Megan and Graham 💞
Sorry for the super long intro. I just love the way Natasha was talking about playing another sapphic couple with Clea and then saying she felt like she had "much more of an effect" on Clea during "But I'm a Cheerleader".

I was too ill to go to a gay bar so instead I watched "But I'm a Cheerleader" (1999). It did not disappoint! Can't believe it's taken me this long to finally watch this iconic gay romcom!
And what I really hadn't expected was Marcie Ross (invisible girl from Buffy) giving Shane (the L Word) vibes. Like damn!!
I never paid much attention to Clea DuVall in her brief appearance on Buffy (fitting, because her character was literally disappearing because people ignored her) but she was amazing in this movie!!
Absolutely recommend "But I'm a Cheerleader" to anyone who wants a silly gay satire. (trigger warning though, it's set in a conversion camp)
