Do you know the benefits of products that are made on demand? Sure it will take longer to ship but it's more environmentally friendly.

I walked out of work today to find we had visitors. One of my coworkers said they stopped by a few weeks ago too. #cranes #birds #WildBirds #cute by @amystreasuresdesign

Mcdonald's fried apple pie, I never had this in the past, not even when I worked at Mcdonald's. Had a rough couple days at work where I spent the better part of 6 of 8 hour shift, away from my desk, running around the plant. So while picking up a teenager inspired dinner from McDonald's, I got two fried apple pies. I decided to share pictures with my fellow Gen Xers amd every one else. Amd because I spend my day taking pictures of parts, especially obnoxiously small print, I couldn't help but include a couple pictures taken with my magnifying glass app. 😂

Took yesterday off not knowing how much food (if any) we lost due to the power outage. Thankfully none but i still need to go shopping and cook. So the day off gave me an extra day for all of that. Yesterday I made mojo de ajo (garlic infused olive oil) first time i made it in far too many years. I had been craving it and finally had time to make it.

Today I made probably the best pasta salad I've ever made. What made it so good? I tossed the warm pasta in the garlic oil, and added some more to beef up the salad dressing (nothing special just Italian from aldi). I also made some vegetarian dolma, specifically stuffed peppers. Didn't get a chance to take pictures before covering and putting in the oven. Why vegetarian? I like to change thing's up once in a while. We're not big meat eaters so we typically cook without meat. I used both the pil and garlic in the dolma filling for added flavor. Tomorrow I plan on making pizza, using both oil and garlic in the crust like I've done in the past. I would make it today but got a very late start on cooking. Right now i'm taking a short break before cleaning the kitchen and then figuring out dinner.

That unintentional nerdy moment when you grab a random shirt to wear to work, not realizing what the date is. Not only that but it doesn't dawn on you until a few hours later when your young coworker says "I see you're wearing your Str Wrs shirt today." Followed by a brief pause by me as it hits me that today is May 4. "This is purely coincidence." 😂😂😂🤣

Happy New Year everyone. I wasn't sleeping the day away, just fighting with my printer trying to print a couple recipes. I planned to spend my day off relaxing and making Dubai Chocolate Brownies, but little did I know I was out of ink. So off I went to the store on this snowy day,. I'll attempt baking over the weekend and report back with the results of my endeavor.
