We dropped Von off at college a week ago tonight! Feels way longer in my mind! Von and I drove the coast of Mendocino on our way. It was so beautiful with the jagged coastline and winding roads. I couldn’t help but feel it spiritually moving him into his new life one turn at a time. I kept saying let’s pull over, maybe to just stall.. and to take in such a magnificent coastline. I was excited to move him into the dorm and loved doing some details for the room. Boys don’t need much but every part of it I’ll always be grateful for being a part of. Meeting the team was fun! They are all so driven and so disciplined and passionate and fun and leaving there was easier knowing the brotherhood he was entering into. Chase it boys. Every one of you!!! ⛳️⛳️ I know it takes time to settle into this new chapter and I am SO grateful to God for all of it. I wish my Dad were here to tell him all about it.

End of an era… Junior golf world. It was such a rewarding chapter for our entire family. We built vacations around it and enjoyed so much family time and to that I will forever be grateful. We will cherish the great conversations along the way there and back from tournaments. This sport teaches you more about yourself in life than any scoreboard could keep track of. Our conversations after each tournament will be memories and lessons we will all take with us. Every one of us learned something. I will miss all the car rides, the plane rides, the over packing of everything just in case… I will miss the suitcase that has been open at our front door for years… I may leave this last one for a while… I am so proud of you Von. Proud of all the guys we watched along the years pursue this sport and go after their dreams. It’s a sport full of as much mental skills as physical and it’s amazing to watch them all take the good shots and the bad and build resilience all along the way. If you’ve got a dream take it. We love you Vonny. Let’s get our pens out to start writing the next chapter.⛳️💙💚💛 by @amystuartgordon

Happy 18th birthday Vonny G. To say raising you has been one of the most beautiful part of our lives is an understatement. Thank you. Thank you for being such a light in our lives, for your smiles and energy and all the laughter you have brought to us. Feels like yesterday you arrived and we realized our hearts were forever changed. Who knew such love existed. Driving home from the hospital dad drove 5 mph. This little boy was ours to raise and protect and we knew the gift that god had given us. So we spent 18 years watching this little boy grow.. and all the steps along the way. What a joy it has been. And now here you are, a young man with a promising future and we couldn’t be prouder of the man you have become. You’re a man of faith, resilience, passion, self disciplined, compassionate and caring and a sense of humor unmatched. Your life awaits you Vonny. Your next chapter in Oregon will be so inspiring to witness and we are so excited for you. These moments in Mexico will always and forever be the best family memories How lucky are we to have them. Arthur W Stuart. President of Original Equipment Sales , Executive Vice President Bridgestone Firestone. My father was a very successful and humble man. He started in a Firestone tire store in sales, and diligently worked his way to the top of the company. Of course, his work ethic and intelligence were major factors, but also, it was the way he treated people and his larger than life personality that advanced him. He and my mom celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this month. They were High School sweethearts. The class clown landed the most popular girl in school, and they built a wonderful life together. Picture our house growing up. He was Steve Martin from Father of the Bride meets Chevy Chase from Vacation. He was the funniest man alive. My parents were so present in our lives always. So involved and supportive. We have so many memories to reflect on. My dad was the most generous man and spoiled us all. Some of his favorite things were his yard, his garage, his condiments - especially pepper, Judge Judy, doing errands for Mimi, Ohio State Football, and following Von's golf. He loved us all so much and we felt it everyday. I keep talking to him, and what keeps coming to my mind, is telling him thank you. I have so much gratitude and thankfulness for what he did for all of us. I had not one worry when he was around. Thank you, thank you so much dad. by @amystuartgordon

I can’t believe this is real. Waking up to the news that you passed away in your sleep on Father’s Day and mom’s 84th birthday. I have talked to you everyday of my life, you knew everything, made me laugh when I wanted to cry and always were our cheerleader. I have known this day would come eventually and I prayed for strength for when it would, I just didn’t know this kind of pain and loss can exist.
You had your share of health issues over the years and were always so diligent on getting to drs appts, and always fought hard, you never wanted to go and for that my heart will never heal, but knowing you passed away in your sleep at your home with mom is exactly how I know you would have wanted it. I loved our texts, our family chain, the golf chain, and the constant support. The over wrapped care packages, the stenciled addresses, the hand written notes, the golf balls, and all of the love and laughs that were our family.
Dad I don’t know what life looks like without you as the captain of our ship.
I certainly know every time I step out on the course with Von you will be there every step of the way. I will look for you always.
And someday when Crew becomes a pilot we will look for you in the skies.
As the shock of this settles in for us, I am at peace knowing you had faith, that you are with God now and will forever be with us. We will make you proud dad, baba, poppy. As I come to terms with never hearing your voice again in my lifetime I know I will feel your presence every day for the rest of mine.

2026… how have you arrived? It always felt so far away… I was counting on it staying there.. or at least my heart was. And here we are. Senior Year.. Senior Photos

This moment has been in my heart and mind since Von picked up a golf
club and instantly knew he wanted to play college golf.
The past few years I’ve imagined all things for him on this journey. I prayed for him daily in watching him work so hard. The determination, the self discipline, the goals he set for himself and all the sacrifices he has made to be where he is at today. He has never waivered on his ultimate goal and to see that perseverance and determination has often times been overwhelmingly beautiful.
Our prayer has always been Lord protect him, open up the doors that are right for him, help guide him and strengthen him and put in front of him the opportunities that will help him grow as a man and a player. The University of Oregon, Coach Martin and Coach Quinney have been instrumental in these prayers being answered. 🙏We are so grateful for this opportunity and the chapter that lies ahead.

You’re just getting started darling.
