A little snippet of ‘Under The Thumb’ live from Mighty Hoopla.

For me to be able to recover my voice enough to sing these songs live again since the damage, has been the reverse of a heart break. I worked so hard to get here through many tears, feelings of anguish and hopelessness and now I know in my guts if I keep working from this point, I can get fully back to where I was before and push even further into the unknown.
Thank you to every single person who came down to watch, who sang along and brought the vibes. It made my heart soar. Oh and a large butterfly just flew into my chin while typing this. Ah, Life. “Every day is a winding road! Bowowow. I get a little bit closer…”

Oh my word. @mightyhoopla 2025. I’m a little shell shocked! The most supportive, wonderful audience that really TURNED OUT. I cannot believe how many people came to watch me perform and having my daughter there watching mama for the first time ever made it even more special and I ran straight to her arms after playing. Thank you to every single person who came to watch and who were singing or shouting every word right to the very back! I felt your energy! Again! Again! Now to sleep for a week. Thank’s for having me!

For Sale: The day has come to part ways with my beautiful Wurlitzer 200A. It’s an ex showroom piece, has toured the country with me for nearly a decade and I wrote and recorded my 3rd album on it, ‘Happiest Girl In The Universe’.
For the last couple of years she has just not been made the most of and it makes me sad so I would like it to go to a happy musical home where it can be played and appreciated again.
The tuning is in great condition, as is the rest of it, bar a few minor scratches and tiny marks from touring. She does however need a service as I think the heat has shifted the plastic casement so there is a slight click on a few keys. It should be easy to fix.
She’s a lovely piece and plays beautifully.
Comes with lid, legs, 2 pedals, stand and plug.
I’m selling for 4.5k if you or any of your musician friends are interested. Spread the word!

Presenting:- My big project. Photographed here at various points in time. I am working on this with my old friend and band mate @leila_alice_smith . It’s big. It’s bad, ugly and dirty at times. It’s magnificent!
Most of my creations have been mainly in my head, in my mouth, scribbled on pages, ivory on my fingertips and finally on a small disk that is my humble offering to the world. This? A whole other kettle of fish. This feels very adult. I’m starting to feel confident enough to share it with you now and moving forwards during the process. I can’t wait to show you what this will become.

I’ve been so quiet, I know. Partially because one of the bigger projects I’ve been working on has been such an enormous undertaking and a part of me has wondered if I will be able to actually pull it off so I’ve held off on showing the journey for now. But believe me when I say, that so much work has been and is going on behind the scenes and hopefully I’ll be able to let you know about it and announce that one in the next 5 or so months.

Aside from that mammoth project, I’ve continued recording my new album which sounds so beautiful. Here are some snippets from it and us in the studio. Juggling motherhood, multiple projects and trying to pay the bills is no joke but somehow I am keeping my head above the water. I’m here for the whole journey and look forward to the day I get to unleash it all and you get to finally hear it. To all the hard working creative world parents, I feel you. Just keep on keeping on. Sending love to you all as always.

Sometimes memories come back, sometimes old feelings. Sometimes in fever dreams, sometimes in passing daydreams or a triggered memory. Ghosts echoing from an immortal place in time. Where another older and younger incantation of my self lives still with other older and younger incantations of you’s. I am reminded of my great power and responsibility (thank you Peter Parker), one which both of us but mostly me abused and was careless with. I have to remind myself now as I am, wrinkled here, stretched there and scarred through the middle. That there is no more need for my suffering. Years upon years of torment over my past misgivings. That cracked and shattered me into a billion pieces and lit the match to let them burn. That prison of my own making. Heavy and tumbling. Of my own love and deep loss. Piecing back together some semblance at first, of a human being. Like strips of fabric, stitching over years. Learning to use my limbs and organs again. Wobbling on my feet like a toddler. Many dark years. That prison… I know in my bones that I paid my penalty for my past mistakes and then some. I don’t need to suffer on those subjects anymore. And on reflection, far worse injustices were served upon me in my lifespan that helped shape me to behave in the ways that I did than I ever paid back out. Now is the time for rebuilding from the happy and settled woman I am now. For fighting. For challenging and for growth. So those ghosts that come to make me feel it once again can be a soft reminder of the sheer capacity I have to love and lose. That sometimes, it is possible for a person to change fully. But that it takes being shattered, often times with no other choice, a fire, a willingness to change and a humbleness towards one’s own imperfections and mistakes to really get there. To try and hold a true mirror onto once’s ‘self’ inside to carry forward through your life. Thank you to my ghosts, you are such a great source of song writing fodder through my life. I have explored these particular ghosts in one of my new albums songs which is called ‘infinite tenderness’.

The single that never was from my debut album all those moons ago. Performed at @mightyhoopla London 2025. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to play this live and for all of the support I received.

I’ve been going down a bit of nostalgic reflection side road this last year while I prepare my 4th record. It’s been nice to revisit this old part of my history, look at how far I’ve come and how things have changed (or stayed the same…).

I want to get the snippets of footage from this show up for you to see in case you missed the show or simply would like to revisit it. It meant the world to have my 3 year old daughter watching me from the side of stage. I wanted to bring her out with me but I think it might have been a step too far for her.

My new album is still in the works and to be honest I’m so sick of sitting on them I don’t even know what they are anymore or if they’re any good. I can’t wait to be able to get them off my chest and out into the world.
