Beautiful, brilliant, wise, valiant, determined, creative, curious, kind and generous. From the day I was born I had the most wonderful best friend… who I got to keep for life. From playing school (you made me a nametag but I was your only student) to our own radio station (60 Minutes with me Barbara Walters/you Jimmy Carter), high school (power purple eye shadow and pep rallies - wait did we even play basketball for a hot minute?) to kappa blue at SMU, Mexico… and years since being the ultimate support in times bright, dark and the simple everyday. BA graduation is beyond compare…. from bagpipes to sunset touching the bay just as the last classmate’s name is called. So grateful for Major’s time on the bluff - where he was known, loved and challenged. Ferociously competitive, protective of one another, creative, brilliant, fun-loving and tradition-building, Bayside wrapped up this special class with a bow and sent it off beautifully Tuesday night. 💙💚 Next morning’s chore? Opening a Pre-School time capsule. 👦🏼 What will you be when you grow up? “A worker.” That ethic comes naturally along with so much more Major - proud beyond words of you! by @amythompson1229

💚🧡 It’s official- we have a Hurricane ! 🏝️🌀Happy to share Major is Miami bound after a fantastic visit this weekend. Could not be more impressed with this school. Proud of all he’s accomplished and excited for what’s ahead for our future engineer. After years of SMU and Bama gear …. Jay’s oldest and closest friends took on a new role in July of 2022. Not only loving and supporting his family through loss but mentoring a 14-year old Major in all the most wonderful ways. The “Wise Elders” sprung into action.The past few years have been filled with adventure, projects, dinner, lunch, golf, snapper fishing, dove/deer/duck & turkey hunting, boat/jeep/car/motorcycle fixes , cookouts and much more. Their laughter and stories keep Jay “in the room” for all of us. Marrying an eccentric and private soul like Jay….the depth and caliber of his friendships told me everything about him. High school buddies, groomsmen, godparents, and members of the Fishtail Fellowship Club in annual trips to Montana. Priceless to Jay - and now to me as well. ❤️ by @amythompson1229

Celebrating 18 years of this wonderful young man today! 🎉To call Major a joy somehow falls short. Your infectious spirit, can-do approach, work ethic, curiosity, and steadiness make you one of those others simply want to be around. You hold your friends dearly, quietly solve problems, live a life of character and always have a smile to share.
