The drive home from the airport after dropping off number two hits different. I'm beaming with pride.

There’s something pretty amazing about raising two girls and then watching them head out into the world on their own. In their kindness, their humour, their independence and definitely their crazy, I see little pieces of me — and I’m so damn proud of that.I used to think I’d lost a little of myself along the way. Happy 20th Birthday to my beautiful Kylie Vegas! 🎂🥳

This birthday feels a little different. You’re miles away from home, starting this incredible new chapter at UTA, chasing the goals you’ve worked so hard for, and while I wish I could give you the biggest birthday hug today, I am SO incredibly proud of you.

Twenty years ago, you made me a mama. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of watching you grow into this strong, determined, independent young woman. And look at you now — 20 years old, living in Texas, and officially a D1 athlete. 🤘⛳️

There are moments as a mom when you realize your job worked a little too well 😂. You raised them to be brave enough to leave, and then suddenly they actually do.

Ally has signed with UBC Okanagan to continue her golf career and education this fall. As a fitting end to her high school golf career, she was also awarded Varsity Girls Golf MVP at this week's Athletic Banquet.
