Came across this and thought it was so great! Next time you read something in the Bible, try asking yourself these questions and see how it can be applied :) Hope you’re having a lovely day by the way! by @amyvelen

What point to life is there if not to live for the one who gave His life for me? To live is Christ, to die is gain. by @amyvelen

Psalm 46:10, the verse everyone knows: “He says, Be still & know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” the Hebrew word for “know” in the context of that verse is “YADA.” (to acknowledge, to be made aware of) It’s a call for us to acknowledge and be made aware of the hand of God in every situation from every angle of our lives.

Here’s your encouragement: try to seek out intentional time where you just quietly sit in God’s presence; be still & discover that He is God in the situation that you are in. That’s what I’ve been learning and striving to do. by @amyvelen

It’s really interesting- to live in the balance of God’s grace and constantly striving for excellency in pursuing righteousness. Honestly, I would get carried away with my efforts toward doing the “right things” and I would put my works in a higher place than what Jesus did for me. And I recently recognized that (thanks steph).

Here’s your encouragement: always do good, do your best and give it your all, but don’t put your “efforts for righteousness” in a higher place than God’s grace and what Jesus did for you on the cross. by @amyvelen

what does it mean to be one in heart and mind?
to be joined together in purpose, thought, & action. Ephesians 6:12 talks about how our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities of the unseen world. look and see the deeper root, don’t entertain the enemy’s efforts for division. by @amyvelen
