I’ve been a huge lover of @scottalanmusic work for many years, and so couldn’t miss the chance to audition for his london gig with @jodiesamsteele ! This song is called ‘anything worth holding on to’ and is one of my favourites from Scott’s rep! 🎶❤️

Music Directing and playing the Debutante is Amy Austen!

Amy Austen is a performer, composer, and musician with a passion for developing new musical theatre, currently serving as Musical Director for the new musical Firebrand. She trained at Leeds Conservatoire (BA) and Trinity Laban Conservatoire (MA), and brings a wealth of experience both on and off stage as a performer, musician, and creative.

Amy particularly loves working on new musicals, approaching the process from both a musical direction and compositional perspective. Her original musical Out of Time made its Off-West End debut at the Union Theatre in 2025, showcasing her voice as an emerging writer-composer.

She is honoured and excited to be part of Firebrand and looks forward to supporting its continued development. by @amyyausten

3+4 - Workshopping ‘City Of Ember’ Musical.. can’t wait to see what happens with this show next year! 💡

5/6/7/8 - Got to workshop my original musical ‘Out of Time’ TWICE, with my work making its professional debut in London 🥹

9 - Exposed my Waitress Obsession at a Grad Cabaret 🥧

I am thrilled to have officially graduated with a distinction in my MA Musical Theatre from @trinitylaban! Thank you to this amazing group of people who were there through the best and worst days, you are all stars! 🌟
