After 100+ attempts, I finally sent this route! For some reason, this movement was so difficult for me and hard for me to find the balance between going too hard or not enough. Definitely don’t desire to work on another dual tex route soon 😂

One year post-op 🥹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🔥

What a year it’s been. There were so many times where I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. Or I’d think I was near the end of the tunnel, just to be in another dark spot soon after. This has been a journey of perseverance, patience, and self-compassion.

I’m still in rehab and working towards return-to-sport clearance. But at this moment, I’m less concerned about the timeline and more focused on what I can actually do. I have so many people to thank who have helped me in my journey - my PT Kyle and student PTs Kory and McKenzie, athletic trainer Krisha and student trainer Sadie, my husband and family, and my Sequence community 🫶 I truly would not have been able to return to climbing as early as I did if it weren’t for Sequence’s traverse wall and many down climbs and accommodating setting from @an.drew.climbs. Thank you to all who drove me to appointments and kept me company when I couldn’t drive. Thanks to those who lent an ear when I was so frustrated so many times. And of course thank you to @trx_core @trxclimbing who served as my ACL recovery mentor.

This past month has been particularly exciting! I played tennis and pickleball for the first time post-surgery. I took my first big fall! Symptoms and stiffness have also been less frequent or severe than before. And I can really tell that I’m feeling stronger and more confident. I’m sure that there will be more downs to come, still. But I hope that I will remember that I’ve weathered many storms before, and I can make it through again 💛

Had to hop on this trend because this project is starting to cause me emotional damage

V3-4 with a V5-6 top flash!! Another route where I figured out my beta on the wall rather than from the ground. Happy I was able to hang in there for the flash 😊

I honestly hate when my send videos aren’t clean, but this was a route where the beta wasn’t intuitive to me off the wall, so I had to figure it out while I climbed. I had no idea what would happen in this attempt, but I ended up trying hard to get the send!

Happy Halloween! Bat hang was actually really tricky to set up for me 🦇

V fun route. I don’t encounter these holds often, so it was fun to be able to pinch and hook them.

Had a bat-tastic boo-uldering session with the crew today @rendezvousclimbing 🦇👻 by @an.climbs

Big move in the middle and tricky finish. I was fighting hard because my tape was slipping, which you can see flew off at the end 🤣

I’m getting better at climbing slopers and eeked out the flash!
