Dear Bremen,
arriving in August I could’ve never imagined that you would become one of my favorites in only 10 months.
I didn’t know how much I’d learn, how much I’d grow, how much joy I’d experience and how many great people I’d meet.
I’ve made memories in Bremen that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.
From stargazing at the “haunted” place little Egypt, bonfires, playing pool and losing every time, seeing polar lights for the first time and just peacefully driving through the countryside, every little moment meant more than you could’ve realised.
Thank you for the people who made me laugh, who helped me when I felt lost, and who made me feel like I belonged here.
For late night conversations, school days that were so much fun, rowdy game days, fun cheer nights, hilarious tennis matches and quiet moments that I’ll remember till eternity.
You taught me so much about the world, about others, about american and mexican culture, and especially about myself.
I’ve grown more than I thought would be possible, Bremen turned me into a person I’ve never thought I could become.
I’ve made memories in Bremen that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.
I never would’ve imagined that this place full of cornfields would become such a big part of my heart. But it has. And leaving will be the hardest thing I have to do.
With Bremen I found a second home, a family that feels like blood, friends that make it seem like I’ve known them for years, a second home across the globe.
Leaving Bremen is like leaving a part of me behind.
