Memory doesn’t always keep the whole picture.

Sometimes we remember things from a distance -blurred, fragmented, almost weightless. And sometimes, for no obvious reason, our attention settles on a single detail: a texture we once looked at without even realizing we were memorizing it.

This painting is a closer look at an old memory the girl sitting in front of me at the first desk, her hair filling my field of vision.

Perhaps this is how memory works: losing the whole, while holding on tightly to a insignificant fragment. by @ana___kors

Underwater choir

They do not speak to the world above; they sing to the water that holds them. As breath leaves their lips in soft, glowing bubbles, a single voice begins to take shape in the darkness. Rising toward the surface, these tiny sparks of life gather together, transforming separate prayers into one endless stream of light. by @ana___kors

Always Among Us

We are never truly alone. Just behind the noise of our days stands an unknown presence a quiet, luminous shadow that has accompanied us from the very beginning. We do not see it, yet it defines every silence we share by @ana___kors
