Breath Mārga is a ten-night pilgrimage into the Indian Himalaya, held in two parts: First we trek through one of the most remote valleys in Uttarakhand, and then we settle into deep practice & rest at our river retreat centre.

This is a journey for those who crave depth in their spiritual practice, while also being “two feet on the earth” people.

The path we explore inwards can’t be done without integrating it directly back into our outer experience.

This trip is a reminder that the spiritual path was never meant to pull you away from your life, it was always meant to lead you back into it. Back into your body, your senses, the beauty that’s right in front of you.

We’ll be journeying through 4 places; Negombo, Adam’s Peak, Ella and finishing in our favourite coastal surf town, Ahangama.

Eleven days to reconnect with the parts of you that know how to play, to laugh without reason, to be spontaneous, to take up space, and to do it in the company of women who see you exactly as you are.

A week hiking through the Indian Himalayas: flower fields, wooden bridges, villages only accessible by foot, best ragi chapati and kidney bean Dahl, warm days and cold nights. My heart is FULL!!!

Making this post had me teary. 🥹

Thinking back on the journey that brought me to this point.

You can’t connect the dots forward, but you can connect them back.

None of it was planned, calculated or certain. A lot of it didn’t make sense at the time.

But that’s often the way with the greatest things in life.

When we answer the calling of the heart before the mind convinces us otherwise, there is unwavering faith in the Divine plan.

There is trust.

And with the Divine and trust in our corner, we walk the evolutionary path.

We are four months out from Roots of Bhaktī, our North India Pilgrimage, and the group is steadily filling.

11 nights immersed in the living traditions of the north.

📚Workshop and Philsophy

The more I practice, the more I see it’s all apart of the practice.

A spiritual life was never meant to be a performance of discipline. It was always an invitation into the FULL TEXTURE of being human, the sacred and the ordinary are so intrinsically woven together, and as a result, you stop being able to tell them apart.

no one really tells you
that chasing a dream
means scattering pieces of yourself
across different corners
of this strange and borrowed world

you leave something in every place
you’ve ever loved.
a version of yourself
still sitting at a table,
8,00km away.

and you call it beautiful
because it is.
but beauty has a cost
the grief of the life you built
is the same size
as the joy of building it.

both living in your chest
at the same time.
some nights it really fucking hurts.
not in a way you can explain
over dinner.

just a quiet unravelling
at the edges
where the versions of you
pull in different directions.
and still you go deeper.

further into the self
that doesn’t need a witness.
that has stopped trying
to be legible
to anyone.

the deeper i go
the less i reach for words
that fit neatly
into someone else’s understanding.
some things are only mine now.

home is not a place anymore.
it’s a feeling that visits
like a bird at a window.
you watch it.
you don’t try to catch it.

you keep going
not because the ache has stopped
but because you’ve learned
to walk with it.
strong heart, tall spine.

to let it remind you
that you loved something enough
to leave it behind.
