The post-performance blues are real.

Acting is one of the loneliest and most wonderful professions in the world.

Think about it. We show up on a set or walk into a theater, often surrounded by strangers, and create immediate connections—trust, intimacy, and vulnerability. We become part of each other’s lives, build something beautiful together, and then, just like that, it’s over. And it doesn’t matter if you were on set for a day or two weeks- the experience is real.

Actors know this is part of the deal. We build something temporary, knowing we’ll eventually have to say goodbye.

And we choose it anyway.

After every film or production, I feel that little ache-and then pick myself up, dust myself off, and start all over again.

What a strange, beautiful path we’ve chosen. 🎥🎬🎭

The Lowdown Season 2 premieres Wednesday on FX and Hulu! 🎬

Last night, in a room of nearly 400 people at the legendary Cain’s Ballroom for the premiere. I had a moment watching Sterlin Harjo on stage 🥹, looking out at a room full of people who believe in him, support his vision, and celebrate what he’s created. Wow! I can only imagine what that moment must have felt like for him.

What a beautiful reminder of the power of storytelling and bringing a dream team to life.

He’s created something truly special and I felt so grateful to be in that room !

In the room where it happened. ✨

Amazing to Emcee this awesome event at the McKnight Center at OSU and sit in the same room next to the extraordinary Cynthia Erivo and watch her shine on stage, alongside Burns and Ann Hargis, Ross McKnight, and the phenomenal Aubrey Logan and many other supporters of the arts in Stillwater.

What a night. So grateful to have been in that room. ❤️
