When I started band 8 years ago, I would've never expected this activity to shape everything from my past, my present and my future. The last 4 years especially were a blast, but my final band season with the UMMB was full of memories I will never forget. Thank you to everyone who made it so special.

It's been over 2 weeks since wrapping up the most challenging chapter of my life, and I'm still struggling to find the right words to describe how it feels.

Three years after showing up to what was supposed "just one audition camp" gave me the honor to age out at a place that became my home. How lucky am I to have found such an wonderful family.

I'm incredibly grateful my parents who have believed in me every step of way. Grateful to the volunteers who are the backbone of this activity. Grateful for @brookestelmokasphotos @cfqphotos for capturing the moments that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Grateful to @leeroy418 and @leah.d123 for believing in me and my leadership, and all the mentors that have helped me get to where I am.

And finally, thank you to the members. Thank you for being the reason I returned twice and aged out at this organization. Thank you for inspiring me every day with your grit and your undeniable talent. It was all for you and it will always be for you.

Thank you, Spartans. Thank you, DCI.

Resilience.

The true theme of the Spartans 2024. I am so lucky to be part of a group of people, staff and members included, who fight through adversity and create such a beautiful product from it, and ever luckier for getting to put it on the field every day. I am forever grateful to be able to call this place my home and these people my family. Thank you, Spartans, for an unforgettable season, and for making Youtopia the most special place to spend my summer at.
