It was an honor to interview @mayrabatalla on the red carpet of the @sundanceorg Film Festival on May 29 in Mexico City. She plays Damiana Cisneros in Pedro Páramo — one of the most powerful films I’ve seen in 2024. From its breathtaking visuals to the outstanding performances, this film left a lasting impression on me. I asked Mayra about the unexpected challenges she faced while filming and what it felt like to bring magical realism to life through this iconic story.
