In dialogue with cutouts from BRAVO magazine’s Foto-Love-Stories, @babette_semmer’s oil-and-sand paintings transformed fragments of adolescent melodrama into luminous, tactile canvases that oscillate between figuration and abstraction.

This series carries a vintage aura, enhanced by the textured effect of oil-and-sand on canvas. At the same time, it builds a bridge to the present, evoking nostalgia and the bittersweet moments of youth.
