I have a deadline for making the next mold master (mask remold with my sculpt changes). I already changed the right horn, its almost to where I want it. It helps having Memrin's mask around as a reference for certain details. More updates to come. I'm gonna go nuts on this thing. by @anamelesslackey

In honor of 10 years of Popestar, allow me to show you my colossal fuck up. The first picture is after the fuck up, the second is before, and the third is it being worn. I try not to cuss in my dumb little descriptions, but this was fucked up. I accidentally (its my fault) let this gorgeous mask for @luxsolisredux fall off of the wig stand that I use to paint masks. It had wet 2K clear coat on it, and it fell straight into a pile of my painters dust. I'm calling it painters dust because I have no idea if there is a word for the shit that accumulates in a spray paint tent. It was 2 days before dragon con, so I did my best to fix it and thats how it ended up. I should 1. Shop vac up that shitty painters dust, and 2. Be more careful about the position a mask is in on my stands. My stands are not the issue, it was entirely me. So Kyle got a bumpy nose ghoul, and Kyle also broke off a hair curl at the con by being stupid. So, now I need to sculpt in that missing hair piece and repaint it. 🤘

Slowly but surely working on this guy... the "elder". This is my mask, I'm working on it at my own pace and slowly because I need to prioritize commissions annnnnd I want this to be "perfect". Perfect doesn't exist however, nothing will ever be perfect. Its a made up word. And I'm only one idiot in a garage, doing my best. My bio is a mantra, flaws are the byproduct of human hands. It won't be perfect, but I want it to be up to my standards. The red stuff is bondo spot glazing putty, which is my go to (for now) to fix imperfections. I damaged the surface of this A LOT when I hastily stripped it a couple years ago. Undoing the damage from my younger and more inexperienced self is interesting.

Unfortunate announcement: the mold ripped.
Fortunate announcement: I'm remolding it with some sculpt changes with @anamelessartist some time soon ish in the future. This is the last V4 cast, they'll be V4K after the remold because of my changes. by @anamelesslackey

I'm enjoying having @memrin 's mask in my shop. Its distracting me from my work. I put the finishing touches on the inside today, minus the felt liner because a certain someone..... is borrowing it to take pictures before it gets sent across the pond.
Edit from the lackey: it is worth mentioning that @anamelessartist did the chrome dome paint job and all that I did was add on the gold + weathering details.

This is my personal mask, what we call the "elder". Only 5 of these were made before ANA made a lot of changes to create the mask you all know and love today. I admittedly did a lot of damage to this mask, which you can see with the primer. I have my work cut out for me with fixing this thing, but its worth it. I love this mask. by @anamelesslackey

I got @memrin 's tots conversion in my shop from THE nameless artist, because they both want me to weather it. I gotta say guys, alumaluster looks almost exactly like duralumen, and duralumen is 1/4th of the cost. Featuring my motivational poster.
