Big thanks to @escapecollective for an awesome watching party on the side of Mont Royal, and to Pop Montreal for putting on some amazing shows while I was there. What an absolutely lovely day on the Frodo with @sailsuperior and a bunch of friends new and old! The Welcome Islands were welcoming, the water was cold, the air was fresh, and we even saw a rainbow on the way back.

July 31, 1010.62/1000km

For all of July 30 and 31, the forecasts were predicting thunderstorms at all the times I had to ride, and would then clear up the moment I went to get on the bike. I wound up getting a little spattering of rain Thursday morning, and then having rain start the moment I put my bike in the shed at the end of the day on Friday. Otherwise, aside from the mugginess, the weather held out.

We did it! A massive thank you to those that were able to donate and to everybody that otherwise supported me with encouragement, food, or listening to me whine about my legs. Between the wildfire smoke and the move, I really thought this wasn't going to happen, but it worked out (just!).

Now to uninstall @strava, say goodbye to the nightmare Arthur St stretch. take a rest, and promise myself I won't do it again next year. by @anamucklow

This weekend, we had the immense pleasure of celebrating our first anniversary (May 10!) at @rosevalleyrestaurant !

Upon arrival our car was escorted up the driveway by an hono(u)r guard of boxer dogs who felt it was their solemn duty to make sure that we got to the parking lot safely.

We spent the afternoon visiting all of the animals on the farm. Horses, pigs, a goat, a flock of various birds (and one sand hill crane), a short-legged cow named McFlurry, and among all of the animals were about 400,000 rabbits just chilling like they owned the place. (Which they more or less did.)

Friends, let me tell you, the food here was absolutely incredible. Dinner was orange duck with crispy potatoes, carrots, and cooked cucumbers. Preceded by an incredible cabbage salad, a lovely green onion soup, and some of the best pasta I've ever had in my life.

We spent the next morning lounging about our cabin, drinking champagne, and just being able to relax with each other. (It was a very good morning.)

Breakfast was hearty and delicious. Fruit salad, scones with toasted sunflower seeds, eggs and bacon and toast. Two of the four dogs chose @dorourkie during breakfast. They basically curled up next to them while we ate.

It was over far too soon. We were definitely treated well here. A fantastic way to celebrate our first year as spouses. taken in Rose Valley Lodge & Restaurant by @anamucklow

Day 0: Toronto

We arrived and checked into our hotel on Toronto, which is a hotel connected to/above a Jazz bar called the Rex. We popped into a nearby pub, Grace O'Malley's where we've had drinks before but never dinner.

After enjoying some butter chicken poutine and a very fantastic chicken pot pie with mash on the side, we made our way back to the Rex to take in some jazz before heading to bed.

Today, we have a food tour in Kensington Market and Chinatown, and tonight, we're seeing @offbookpod live, which I am EXTREMELY excited for! It's been my favorite podcast for years, and I'm excited to see what new music they're going to write tonight! by @anamucklow
