Small towns never fail to surprise you with some desi action! Tucked away in a corner of Sakchi Market, Jamshedpur, I spotted dozens of idols lined up neatly. A few steps further, inside a small bamboo shed, craftsmen were meticulously shaping idols of the Hindu God of Craftsmanship – Lord Vishwakarma.
In Hindu tradition, Vishwakarma is regarded as the divine architect — associated with engineering, skilled work, and craftsmanship of all kinds.
Every year on this day (17th September), craftsmen, mechanics, engineers, factory workers, and artisans celebrate Vishwakarma Puja. Tools, machinery, and workspaces are cleaned and worshipped, seeking his blessings for safety and success in the year ahead.
I've tried my best to capture the vibe raw and unplugged — so the audio is untouched, with traffic, chatter, and a desi DJ mix blaring from a nearby pandal, all blending into one sweet, chaotic soundscape.
Wishing all you creators out there lots of happiness and success.

Why oil wipers on a piston 🤯? Read 👇🏼

Every time your piston moves, oil splashes all over the cylinder wall to keep it slippery. But too much oil sitting there is actually a problem — and that's where the oil ring comes in.

🔩 What the Oil Ring actually does:
◾ Wipes the extra oil off the cylinder wall every time the piston moves up-down
◾ Leaves just a thin film behind — enough to keep things perfectly lubricated
◾ Sends the scraped-off oil back down into the engine through tiny holes, so it can be reused

⚙️ Why this tiny part matters so much
When the oil ring wipes properly, you get:
✅ Less oil used up
✅ Clean exhaust, no smoke
✅ Spark plugs that stay healthy

The piston doesn't need more oil — it needs the right amount. And that's a job only the oil ring can do.

Start a cast-iron Bullet like a boss 😎 Read 👇🏼
1 - With ignition on, press the decompression lever and slowly bring down the kick lever until the ammeter flicks to the center (indicates piston top dead center). Doing this drastically reduces the effort needed to kick-start the engine.

2 - Gently swing the kick lever down to its lowest point until it stops. Sometimes a half-kick isn't enough to fire up.

3 - DO NOT pull the accelerator while kicking! If the engine backfires, you could end up with a sprained knee or ankle.

4 - Gently pull the throttle only once the engine starts thumping.

5 - For a cold start after the bike has been parked for a long time, activate the choke before Step 1.

With a perfectly tuned engine, the process becomes so effortless that you can actually start it by hand.

This is NOT a Royal Enfield Machismo. Read 👇🏼
Meet the Bullet 350 Deluxe edition – the OG "premium" Bullet, years before Machismo even existed. Here's the twist: mechanically, it is the same cast-iron-engine Bullet 350 you already know. Same engine, same soul. The Deluxe wasn't a technical innovation, but the standard Bullet 350 dressed up in chrome, plenty of chrome, actually. These included shiny chrome-plated front and rear fenders (mudguards) and side plates in mirror-finish chrome bolted to the sides of the fuel tank. The 'Enfield' monogram stayed and so did the golden hand-painted pinstripes on the tank and toolboxes.

The only true upgrade was the twin-leading shoe (TLS) drum brakes on the front for better stopping power. Target audience? It was Enfield India's way of milking a cult-status platform – to offer affluent buyers a Bullet that looked expensive, without the cost of engineering a new model.

The Deluxe later evolved into Machismo 350. Same bones and new skin, now with a chrome-plated tank and knee pads. Still no Machismo branding anywhere – no monograms, no stickers. The Machismo badging showed up when the cast-iron heart of the motorcycle was replaced with the new Lean-Burn engine.

Baat ho rahi hai Top Ring / Compression Ring ki
🔩 Kya karta hai ye asli mein?
▪ Intake stroke mein air-fuel mixture ko andar kheenchta hai
▪ Compression stroke mein usi mixture ko 10 guna tak compress karta hai
▪ Bina iske, na intake hoga na compression!

😬 Ab sabse interesting fact
Is ring mein gap hota hai — baal se bhi patla, 0.04mm se bhi kam. Dekhne mein lagta hai gap se gas leak ho jayegi... lekin combustion ki heat se ye gap poori tarah se seal ho jaata hai. Engineering ka magic 🔥

⚙️ Aur jitna tight ye seal, utna behtar:
✅ Power
✅ Mileage
✅ Smooth performance

Spark⚡ piston top ke PEHLE kyun hota hai? 🤯 READ 👇🏼
4-stroke engine mein compression stroke ke dauraan piston upar jaata hai aur air-fuel mixture ko 10x compress karta hai. Phir Top Dead Center (TDC) se thoda pehle spark plug fire karta hai.
Lekin kyun pehle?🤔

Kyunki air-fuel mixture jalne ke baad peak power aane mein kuch microseconds lagte hain. Isliye spark advance mein fire karte hain – taaki jab piston TDC cross kare, tab combustion apne peak power par ho. Usi waqt 10x compressed air-fuel mixture dhamaakedaar 💥 tarike se jalta hai, gases expand hoti hain aur piston ko tezi se neeche dhakelta hai aur crankshaft ghoomta hai. Yahi hai Power Stroke — 4-stroke cycle ka teesra aur sabse powerful stroke.

🔵 Intake → 🔴 Compression → 💥 Power → 💨 Exhaust

⚠️ Spark timing galat ho toh?
Advance zyada → knocking, piston damage
Retard zyada → power loss + mileage drop
Connecting rod par bahut zyada stress

Isiliye sahi ignition timing performance aur engine health ka Brahmastra hai 🔥

How to set Hero Splendor ignition timing. Read 👇🏻

1. Lubricate and install camshaft with cam lobes facing down
2. Check free play = ready for combustion stroke
3. Remove pushrod spring to loosen timing chain
4. Bring the piston to top by aligning mark on the magnet
5. Install timing sprocket keeping dot on the left side
6. If the dot is above/below the alignment mark, rectify
7. Hold the timing wheel and rotate the camshaft to align the bolt threads
8. Fasten the timing wheel to the camshaft
9. While the piston is on top, the timing dot should coincide with the cut in the head

Isi lye camshaft play zaroori hai. Pls Read👇🏻
Timing tab milaya jaata hai jab compression stroke ke baad piston top par hota hai. Is dauraan dono cam pe koi load bahi hota, jiski wajah se camshaft free hota hai. Play check karne se pata chalta hai ki compression stroke ho chuka hai aur ab spark ki baari hai.

Agar camshaft tight hai yaani uspe cam ka load hai, jo intake stroke ke pehle hota hai. Tab timing set karna galat hai. Aur agar kiya to piston damage, valve damage, power loss engine overheat ho sakta hai.
