The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026 51–100 list just dropped—and Vietnam has just one spot: @anansaigon. For a country with one of the most dynamic food cultures in the world, that feels less like a reflection of reality and more like a blind spot. At the center of that lone entry is Chef Peter Cường Franklin (@petercuongfranklin), whose work at Anan Saigon continues to push Vietnamese street food into a sharper, more contemporary frame—through tasting menus that reinterpret local classics and dishes like his new phở-focused concept Pot Au Phở 2.0. Read the full article on the Esquire Vietnam website. It’s Vietnamese cooking but different from what you’re used to. At Anan Saigon, Chef Peter Cuong Franklin takes the best flavours from street food and traditional dishes found across the country and makes them his own. This is New Vietnamese Cuisine! @anansaigon @petercuongfranklin @theworlds50best @the50discovery #50besttastehunter #asias50best #finedining #tastingmenu #vietnamesecuisine by @anansaigon
14 Chefs, 4 month journey on the road to become Top Chef 2026 comes to the end - and a new journey begins. Big congratulations to Chef Linh, Chef Nhat Phong, Chef Camilla and everyone who took this journey. The journey itself is more important than the destination. The personal growth and experience you gained along the way to become a great chef matters more than the final goal, itself. #TopChefVietnam2026 #topchef by @anansaigon

STREET FOOD CART #banhmi BANH MI MOI 📍 89 Ton That Dam, D1 ⏰ 5PM–9PM · Tues–Sun Dine-in · Takeaway · Delivery Zalo / WhatsApp: +84 904 792 920 Menu / Website: https://helloanan.my.canva.site/b-nh-m-m-i NEW BANH MI STORY Chef @petercuongfranklin had long dreamed of opening a banh mi stall in Saigon. So when he expanded the space next to @anansaigon he took the opportunity to set up an outdoor cart serving takeaway banh mi alongside fresh Vietnamese coffee in front of the restaurant. Bánh Mì Mới #NewBanhMi #StreetFoodCart is a new gourmet Vietnamese takeaway sandwich concept opened in July 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City by Michelin-starred ĂNĂN Saigon chef Peter Cường Franklin. It elevates traditional street-food baguettes using modern techniques and premium ingredients such as grilled Angus beef short rib, duck liver pâté, Tuong Ot chili sauce, chestnut pork, and house-made cha lua mortadella sausage. Bánh Mì Mới high quality ingredients are meticulously prepared and stored in refrigeration using the same techniques and hygiene standards as Michelin Star Ănăn Saigon. Chef Peter Cường uses Hanoi style bread for its resemblance to French baguette, smaller, denser on the inside, and more flavorful than the typical Saigon banh mi. These sandwiches are packed with premium ingredient, smaller in size than a street style Banh Mi, reflecting the chef philosophy of quality over quantity. No one blinks an eye at a 10 dollar burger. But people are shocked at a 10 dollar Banh Mi. Chef Peter Cường believes that Vietnamese Banh Mi deserves more respect and should be priced according the skill required and quality of the sandwich. Chef Peter Cường will continue to elevate familiar Vietnamese dishes such as Banh Mi to the higher-end segment while preserving their authentic identity. by @anansaigon
