Part two of our jewellery line-up brings a different kind of contrast, playful next to precious, bold shapes next to intricate detail.

From architectural silhouettes to delicate, nature-inspired forms, every piece here has been shaped by hand, worked in silver, gold, enamel and more, each one carrying the mark of the person who made it.

Next up are the magnificent ceramics of Carrick @carrick_ceramics
Carrick is the ceramic practice of Scotland-based maker Aimee Holt, who creates hand-thrown and hand-built ceramics from her home studio in East Lothian.
Working with a minimal aesthetic, Aimee embraces traditional methods of making, allowing each piece to retain the subtle variations that come from being made by hand. Areas of unglazed clay are often left exposed, revealing the natural material and lending an earthy, tactile quality that echoes the rugged Scottish landscape.

Opening night Thurs 2 October, 5–7pm

Alloyed Collective returns to Dr Neil’s Garden this Autumn with ā€˜Tonic.’, exploring the healing art of craft at the turning of the seasons.
You’re invited to join jewellers Andrea McCarthy, Sasanqua Link, and Lyndsay Fairley alongside friends for a warming, restorative exhibition of applied arts, set in the calm of Thomson’s Tower by Duddingston Loch in Edinburgh.

One of the artists joining us will be Sarah Innes @rubybaystore_ with her gorgeous wrapped stones and evocative landscape paintings. Launched in 2024 this prompted a new direction in the work of landscape artist Sarah Innes. Sarah lives and works just
outside Edinburgh. Engaging with nature in an all sensory way has an intrinsic effect on Sarah’s paintings. Drawing and painting nature she feels brings her a little closer to understanding it. As well as painting Sarah is an enthusiastic beachcomber, accumulating a collection of interesting stones and sea pottery. This led her to thinking how these may be repurposed into beautiful objects. Hence forth Ruby Bay Store was born firstly in theshape of an online Etsy shop. These wrapped meditation stones are inspired by ā€˜Mizuhiki’ a traditional Japanese knot tying technique. Each stone has been carefully selected and wrapped using rattan. The weavehas been chosen to compliment the stone’s natural beauty. The stone can be used for meditation to transport you to a place of calm and contemplation, or simply used for
decoration and as an object to admire. taken in Dr Neil's Garden by @anaqknil

Last in the lineup, I’m so pleased to be taking part in @alloyedcollective exhibition tonic.

Ana Knil originates from an eclectic curiosity about the world: visually distilling geology, sea life, and botanical structures into abstract sculptural, gender-neutral jewellery. Each piece is hand fabricated in gold and silver by Sasanqua Link and incorporates elements of stainless steel, porcelain, and reclaimed wood.

Along with:
