The Yogyakarta-based collective HONF, represented by M. Haryo Hutomo @mharyohutomo and Irene Agrivina @agrivine , is participating in SPACED’s "Circular Economies" residency at Arts Narrogin. Through their project, The Fifth Element: Essence of the Spirit, they are creating a collaborative work that bridges art, science, and technology to address pressing social and environmental issues.
The residency will conclude with a public showcase, where the completed installation of The Fifth Element: Essence of the Spirit will be unveiled. This immersive experience celebrates collaboration and invites dialogue on themes of ecological connection and cultural unity.

Made this illustration for my friend, Bernard Skizo/KSGRN @ksgrn__ EP that release on 2023. Had fun in brainstorming for the concept of this illustration and i also like drum and bass, so yeah!! It's an old drawing but i need to post it, and you guys def should listen to this EP and his other works.

Bernard Skizo (known as KSGRN) #drumandbass for dj Astin the medley.

This song tells about the complaints of a wife to her husband who likes to glance at other women in their daily household life. The content raised in the lyrics in a storytelling style is a social problem for most Indonesian married couples. This original song genre has become a hallmark of the Indonesian electronic music scene and Bernard Skizo tried to put a beat into Drum and Bass.

Bernard Skizo considers this project as a spark of the movement of the drum and bass genre in Indonesia, not many people there are fond of DnB scene and maybe if he fusion the local cultural genre with a bigger world genre it will be more easily accepted by the grassroot electronic music listeners in the origin country.

#17TahunAksiKamisan: Orang silih berganti, aksi kamisan tetap berdiri

Peringatan Aksi Kamisan yang ke-17 tahun, kemarin, menunjukkan perlawanan terhadap tembok impunitas yang semakin kuat. Kasus kejahatan kemanusiaan meninggalkan korban tanpa keadilan, sementara pelaku bebas berkeliaran di lingkaran kekuasaan. Peringatan ini juga terjadi selama kampanye Pemilu 2024, menyedihkan bahwa dalam suasana politik ini, beberapa orang malah menganggap aksi kamisan sebagai dagangan politik semata. Padahal aksi kamisan sudah ada sejak tahun 2007, selama 17 tahun menuntut pertanggungjawaban negara akan pelanggaran HAM di masa lalu yang belum ada penyelesaiannya. Di depan Istana Negara, aksi kamisan teguh membuktikan bahwa tuntutan mereka untuk keadilan bukanlah isu sesekali, melainkan panggilan berkelanjutan demi kebenaran.

Hidup korban!

Jangan diam!

Today i joined mineral pigment workshop with @nixsidiana and @colours_of_indonesia_ at @gudskul , quite interesting to knew that nature give us so many colors. Mineral pigments, derived from earth's natural elements (plants, soil, even animals), have played a pivotal role in the history of art, particularly in the ancient practice of cave drawings. These pigments, composed of minerals like ochre and hematite, were used by early humans to depict their surroundings on cave walls, offering a glimpse into prehistoric life. The remarkable aspect lies in nature's inherent gift of an extensive color palette, providing artists with a diverse range of hues. What makes mineral pigments truly extraordinary is their longevity; their enduring vibrancy has allowed these ancient artworks to survive through the ages.

I made this kebab painting with watercolor made by mineral pigments. Had so much fun and there will be a performative interactive session with them in the next week using the mineral pigments chalks that we made today. 🙌🦠💗✨
