I remember when you first came into my life. You were so tiny, full of energy, and completely unaware of how much you were about to change my life.

It wasn’t long before I realized how hard it was to have a pet and how much work truly went into taking care of one. So, I made the decision to find you a new home.

Luckily, I found someone, and they told me they would come to get you by the end of the week. Boy, that week you were the best dog ever! 😂 No eating my shoes, using the bathroom exactly when and where you were supposed to, and just being perfect.

By the end of that week, I called them and said, “Sorry, I can’t give him up.” ❤️

That was the moment I realized I was in it for the long haul. No more give-backs. From that day on, for 15 beautiful years, it was always me and you.

I had never had a dog before you, so I never understood what true companionship was until you. You were more than a dog. You were my boy, my companion, my family, and such a huge part of my life.

My Joe, I miss you dearly. God gave me one boy, but unfortunately, He took my other boy. As hard as it was to let you go, I know now that it was for the best. I never wanted you to suffer, and you didn’t. For that, I will always be grateful.

I still can’t believe you’re gone. Some days it still doesn’t feel real. But no matter how much time passes, you will always and forever be my boy.

I love you forever and always.
