I published a book🌀🧍🏽‍♂️

A Messy Palette is officially out now.
(link in bio or search via Amazon)

This book has been about two to three years in the making but have had writings from several years. I only really started talking about it more openly over the last year or so I suppose but this summer has felt revolutionary for me. I’ve been able to slow down, focus more deeply, and finally bring something I’ve carried for so long to life.

A Messy Palette 🎨:
It’s a collection of poetry exploring identity, relationships, love, loss, healing, the complexities of the mind, growth, self discovery, belonging and the different experiences that shape us.
A lot of it comes from my own perspective, navigating life as a Black neurodivergent woman growing up and living in London, but it’s also shaped by the people I’ve encountered, the environments I’ve been surrounded by, the things I’ve observed, and the music, films and art that have influenced the way I understand life.
I didn’t want to put all of these things into neat little boxes, because life doesn’t really work like that. One experience can affect another. Love can exist alongside loss. Healing can bring confusion. Identity can change through the people we meet and the places we grow in.
They’re all different colours, but together they kinda become one palette : a messy palette.
After a lot of writing, rewriting, proofreading, designing, learning all technicalities on my own and rereading things too much that I just let it go and float out in the world..

I’m really proud of this.
And to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, read my writing, listened to me along the way, thank you. 🤍

A Messy Palette : available now on Amazon. 📖🎨

(Had to add the Loyle Carner song in as wrote a poem and rewired one of his songs - in this book )

(I hope to develop my writing etc)
