What skill I wished I learned 15 years ago: how to actively train and put my body in rest and digest. And the magic was in practicing and training my body and mind when I was not actually in a crisis.

Without this skill, I was a slave to reactivity and I followed the old patterns I learned as a kid or randomly memorized in life. And no, those patterns were not meant to serve me but to save me from an imaginary lion attack. Those are just the factory settings.

I used to say that breathing techniques, mantras, etc. don't work — because I only used them when everything was critical and burning. Only now I can see how much energy was consumed there.

It started as a random game, doing these techniques randomly during the day, practicing more. Just to see how fast I can make it work and what techniques are "my style." And after some time I realized that I can put myself in rest and digest whenever I want, and that I notice now the early signs of fight or flight.

I was driving on the highway and I was having a "fight" with another driver, in my head of course because I didn't like his driving. I even got angry and then I caught myself... and said wait... wait... wait... let's go for rest and digest. It took me just 30 seconds to take my body out of fight or flight, and guess what, the other driver became just a car on the road, I started laughing and I went back to admiring the view. From reactive to peace in 30 seconds. What a gift!

And this brought the so-called pause before reacting. I knew the concept but I never internalized it — until now. I read about it ... I thought it was a command I give to myself to pause. Obviously I did not listen :))) Now I know that it was the wrong approach.

And there a new level of freedom started. A place where I get to choose my words, reactions and behaviors, where I notice old patterns. And yes, it's messy sometimes — yet by being more present I can catch them and repair. by @ancatabara

It started with an idea I had one evening… to have more space. Then the idea got expanded with a friend’s advice and then it happened. Pieces aligned naturally and perfectly: the car, the papers, repairs, work, the timing, and here I am, grateful and receiving my new home with an open heart.

The result is beyond my dreams and my expectations.

Grateful for this ❤️ my heart is happy!

Dreams do come true and this happens by actions in that direction. 😉

Groundhandling with comp gear ( ballast included)...getting ready for tricky takeoffs it's a must, especially when you own a pair of short legs :))))

In the end, it is about building the needed skills instead of complaining that it's hard.

PRE-PWC Tenerife - 24th overall and 1st female. The most technical competition I’ve flown, set in wild terrain (for my taste)

Some people were surprised by my results, but for me, it felt natural. (finally😂) And no, it’s not about arrogance—it’s about believing in myself, trusting my skills, and valuing the endless hours of training. I thought about quitting comps many times. It’s about finding mental balance, stepping into the flow state, and staying true to my approach, no matter the external pressures. It’s a trial-and-error process.

What I’m truly proud of is that I didn’t give up when things got tough and overwhelming. I’ve learned how to handle setbacks like bombing out, and I’m grateful to @copilotparagliding for believing in me, helping me navigate the chaos in my mind, and find my path. (Trust me, it is such a big mess in my 🧠 :)))) )

Thank you, @niviukparagliders, for the incredible race machine and your support. Proud to stand on the podium representing you!

I’m beyond proud of these two amazing girls on the podium. Their resilience and the way they tackled such a high-level competition is inspiring. It wasn’t easy to keep up with the CCC wings, but they flew with determination and courage. This is a powerful reminder—you are incredible, and you rock, girls! 💪✨
