Meet the providers behind your care 🤍

Elise Clark, MSN, APRN, FNP-C | Founder

With over 15 years of experience in nursing and nearly a decade in functional medicine, I bring both depth and heart to my practice. After working in family medicine and endocrinology, I transitioned into functional medicine to help patients go beyond symptom management and achieve true healing.

I am especially passionate about women’s health, hormone replacement therapy, thyroid health, and gut-related concerns—taking a root-cause, personalized approach to care that helps patients feel truly supported in their wellness journey.

Morgan Prejean, MPAS, PA-C, MBCE, RYT-200

Morgan is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a passion for helping patients uncover the root cause of their health concerns. With experience in both conventional and functional medicine, she takes a whole-person, individualized approach to care.

Her own health journey led her into functional medicine, where she became deeply committed to helping others find answers and lasting healing; especially in the areas of hormones, gut health, detox support, mold toxicity, and nervous system regulation.

Together, we are dedicated to helping patients feel heard, empowered, and supported as they move toward true, lasting wellness 🤍

Big news: Elise Clark Health has officially changed it's name to Anchor Health & Hormones! Meet our practicioners: @eliseclarkfnp @more.with.morgan

Same practice, same providers, same personalized care, just a new name that better reflects who we are and where we're headed.

We started this practice because we were tired of watching women get told "everything looks normal," while they still felt exhausted, foggy, and completely unlike themselves.

So we built something different.

Anchor Health & Hormones is a functional medicine practice for women who are done guessing. We look at your labs, your symptoms, and your history together, not in isolation, to actually figure out what's going on underneath.

No rushed 10-minute appointments. No "your labs are fine" without an explanation. No starting over every time you see a new provider.

Just real answers, real partnership, and a plan that fits your actual life. If you've been wondering why you don't feel like yourself lately, we'd love to help you find out. Link in bio to book. 🌿

Being tired all the time isn’t a personality trait. 😴

If you’re sleeping, drinking your coffee, and still dragging through the afternoon, it’s worth looking deeper than “you’re just busy.” Fatigue is a symptom, not a diagnosis, and there are real, testable reasons it could be happening.

Swipe for exactly what to ask at your next appointment:
 ✔️ Thyroid function
 ✔️ A comprehensive lab panel
 ✔️ Ferritin + iron levels
 ✔️ Fasting glucose + HgbA1c
✔️ Sleep quality, not just hours

📌 Save this for your next visit, and send it to the friend who always says she’s exhausted.

If you’ve been told your labs are “normal” but you still don’t feel like yourself, I’d love to take a closer look. Link in bio to book.

“I wasn’t looking for someone to simply manage my symptoms. I wanted answers, a personalized approach, and someone who would take the time to understand the whole picture. That’s what ultimately made me make the switch.”

This is why we do things differently. If you’re tired of being told your labs are “normal” but you still don’t feel like yourself, we’d love to help you find out why.

Why I ask about stress at every single visit.

It’s not a throwaway question. Stress touches digestion, sleep, blood sugar, and hormone balance, often more than people expect.

Here’s what’s actually happening: when your body perceives stress (physical, emotional, or even under-eating), it releases cortisol. In short bursts, that’s normal and helpful. But when cortisol stays elevated day after day, it can start to affect a lot of other systems.
A few ways that shows up in visits:

Digestion: stress slows gut motility and can worsen bloating, constipation, or that “food just sits there” feeling

Blood sugar: cortisol raises blood glucose to give you quick energy, so chronically high stress can contribute to blood sugar swings and cravings

Sleep: elevated evening cortisol is one of the most common reasons people fall asleep fine but wake up at 2 or 3am wired

Hormones: chronic stress can shift how your body prioritizes reproductive hormones, which is part of why cycles get irregular or symptoms like PMS intensify during high-stress seasons

This is also why stress can’t just be treated with a supplement or a lab result. Lab work tells us part of the story, but if we don’t talk about what’s actually going on in your life, sleep, workload, relationships, we’re only treating half the picture.

So when I ask “how’s your stress been,” I’m not making small talk. I’m trying to understand what your nervous system has been dealing with, because it shows up everywhere else in your body too.
What’s one thing you’ve noticed in your own body during a high-stress season? Tell me below!

Your hormones don’t need a complete lifestyle overhaul. Sometimes, the smallest daily habits can make the biggest difference. ✨

Here are 4 simple habits to support your hormone health:

🥚 Start your day with a whole-food source of protein
Protein at breakfast can help support steady energy, blood sugar balance, and satiety throughout the day.

😴 Prioritize your sleep hygiene
Consistent, quality sleep plays an important role in overall hormone regulation and metabolic health.

🥑 Make sure you’re getting enough fiber
Fiber supports healthy digestion, blood sugar regulation, and estrogen metabolism.

🧘‍♀️ Manage your stress
Chronic stress can affect cortisol and influence other systems throughout the body. Make time for movement, rest, breathing, and whatever helps your nervous system unwind.

Small habits. Consistent effort. Better support for your hormones. 🤍

Save this for your daily hormone-health checklist!

I’m back to answer more of your questions!

A few things I covered in this one:
If you’re dealing with cyclical night sweats, we talk through what progesterone and progestin-containing birth control can (and can’t) explain.

Keep the questions coming. This could easily become a series!

Signs your hormones might be out of balance:

Constant fatigue or low energy

Trouble falling or staying asleep

Brain fog or difficulty concentrating

Feeling unusually cold or overheated

None of these are things you have to just push through. If more than one sounds familiar, it’s worth a real conversation, not just a search at midnight.

Tag someone who needs to see this!

The supplement I have with me basically everywhere. @xymogen

This one’s a favorite because it does double (or triple) duty: supporting muscle recovery, sleep quality, and general metabolic function all at once. I reach for it after workouts and for tension headaches especially.

It’s not a fix for everything, but for a lot of people it quietly helps more than they expect.

Curious what other supplements I use? Comment below and I’ll share!
