Anchor is open as usual this Memorial Day!

Showers begin at 6:45 a.m.
Breakfast is served 8:30–9:45 a.m.
Showers reopen around 10:10 a.m.

Today, we remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, and we give thanks to the Lord behind every mercy we receive.

Meals. Volunteers. Details. Doors.

I voted. Did you?

Not that vote! You already survived campaign signs, ballots, and at least one conversation that got tense faster than expected.

This one is easier!

Lancaster County Magazine's 2026 Best of Lancaster County Readers’ Survey is open, and Anchor would be grateful for your vote as Best Nonprofit.

No polling place. No line. No sticker.

Just a few minutes, one local vote, and a meaningful way to help more people learn about Anchor’s work.

🚨 Did you know?

Most people assume nonprofit board positions are honorary, but board members in the United States carry legal responsibility for how an organization is governed — even as volunteers.

They volunteer their time, experience, and discernment often after work, around family schedules, and without a paycheck attached to help oversee:

• finances
• leadership
• mission
• accountability
• long-term direction

With more than 2 million nonprofits across the country, we praise God for the men and women He has called to bring wisdom and service to the ministry entrusted to Anchor.

This week, we’re excited to introduce two new additions to Anchor’s Board⚓️

Last weekend marked Kelly’s four-year anniversary as Anchor’s Office Assistant.

If you have received a helpful reply, a timely reminder, a corrected detail, or a piece of information that made your next step easier — there is a strong chance Kelly helped move it along.

Even if you don’t know Kelly personally, we’d love your help celebrating her well by filling her inbox with appreciation💌

Send Kelly a short note of thanks, prayer, or encouragement directly at: kelly@anchorlancaster.org

As many of you know, Anchor has been asking for cereal🥣

And this week? Cereal arrived. Right on time.

Thank you to the women of Beta Sigma Phi for blessing Anchor with a significant cereal donation and an ALDI gift card!

God is good, all the time!

🥞 Last week, Anchor served 1,043 breakfast meals.
That brings our daily average to more than 200 meals every morning.

There was a time when 200 breakfasts was the exception.
Now, it is becoming the pace of the work.

The math is simple. The need is not. But God keeps placing provision within reach.

The kitchen is currently in need of Raisin Bran, Frosted Flakes, and Froot Loops. To keep storage simple and service consistent, these are the only three cereals we’re requesting right now. If you’re able to donate a box or two, our breakfast crew would be grateful!

Donations can be dropped off at First United Methodist Church Monday–Thursday between 8am–1pm (29 E. Walnut St. Lancaster, Pa)

Most people will scroll past this in a second.

We’re asking you not to.

While a daily vote may feel tiny to you, the help it could lead to is not tiny to your neighbor trying to avoid eviction, access clean clothes, take a shower, secure employment, or get a ride to an interview that might change everything.

It is easy to pass by what is not physically in front of us. No one is standing in your path asking for help. But hidden need is still need, and the Lord has always cared deeply about what we do in the small moments when no one is watching.

One click does not look like much. Until you know it's part of something that keeps lives from unraveling.

Please vote for Anchor through the Solomon Lancaster Give A Chance

Solomon Project today and daily through May 15th!
