⚓️ We’re officially back!
We kicked off the year with a great time together and had our first official Anchor meeting!
This semester, we’re diving into the series “How Are We Changed?” and starting with a foundational question:
What does it mean that God saved us?
We’re excited to see how God continues to work in and through our community this year. There’s a lot ahead, and we’d love for you to be part of it!
📖 Come join us at Anchor — everyone is welcome.

What a year it’s been.
This year was filled with honest conversations, powerful messages, late-night food runs, bowling nights, prayer, laughter, and so much growth. What started as a simple Bible study became a real community — a place where people could ask questions, grow deeper in their faith, and do life together.
We’ve talked through some big questions this year:
📖 Why are we here?
✝️ Who is Jesus really?
🙏 How do we walk with the Spirit?
💧 What does baptism mean?
🔥 How do we build holy habits and grow closer to God?
And through every conversation, game night, church trip, and study, God has been moving in ways bigger than we could’ve imagined.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, invited friends, asked hard questions, shared honestly, encouraged others, and helped make this group what it is. You made this first year something special.
This is only the beginning.
We’re so excited to see what God has in store next year.
See you all soon ❤️

🔥 Nothing will change your life more than knowing Jesus deeply. 🔥
This week we walked through Josh Howerton’s message on the power of intimacy with God. Real transformation doesn’t come from trying harder — it comes from getting closer to Jesus and letting Him shape every part of your life.
Key takeaways:
🙏 Closeness with God changes everything. The more time you spend with Jesus, the more your life begins to reflect Him.
📖 Knowing Jesus means intentionally engaging His Word. A deeper relationship with God includes consistently reading and reflecting on the Bible, where He reveals who He is and how He leads us.
✝️ Spiritual growth is relational, not just informational. It’s not about knowing more — it’s about knowing Him more.
If you missed it, reflect this week:
👉 Am I pursuing information about God, or real intimacy with Him?
Grateful for another powerful night together — the hunger to grow and go deeper in faith is something special in this group. 🙌

🔁 Your life moves in the direction of your habits. 🔁
This week we broke down Craig Groeschel’s message on Holy Habits and how small, consistent actions shape who we become. It’s not about one big moment — it’s about daily decisions that move us closer to God.
Key takeaways:
📖 Consistency > intensity. Small, faithful habits over time lead to real spiritual growth.
🙏 Habits shape identity. What you repeatedly do forms who you become — spiritually and personally.
🔥 Discipline creates freedom. The right habits don’t restrict you — they position you to live the life God has for you.
If you missed it, reflect on this this week:
👉 What’s one habit I can start (or stop) that will move me closer to God?
Grateful for another great night — the conversations and commitment to growth in this group is awesome to be a part of. Let’s keep showing up and building habits that matter. 🙌

💧 Baptism isn’t just a moment — it’s a declaration of a new life. 💧
This week we walked through Ben Stuart’s message on what baptism truly represents. It’s more than a tradition — it’s an outward expression of an inward transformation, showing that the old life is gone and a new life in Christ has begun.
Key takeaways:
✝️ Baptism is a public declaration of faith. It’s a way of saying, “I belong to Jesus.”
🌊 It represents death and new life. Going under the water symbolizes dying to your old self, and coming up represents being made new in Christ.
🙏 Obedience matters. Baptism isn’t what saves you — but it is a step of obedience that follows genuine faith.
If you missed it, reflect on this this week:
👉 Have I taken the step to publicly identify my life with Jesus?
Grateful for another great night together — the conversations and community continue to make this group something special. 🙌

🔥 You weren’t made to live just like everyone else — stop acting human! 🔥
This week we dug into Francis Chan’s message on what it means to live fully surrendered to God, not just following worldly patterns. God calls us to a higher standard — to live Spirit-led lives that reflect His kingdom, not just human instincts.
Key takeaways:
✝️ God calls us to radical living. Don’t settle for a faith that blends in with the world — aim to stand out by following Christ fully.
💡 Let the Spirit guide your choices. When you live Spirit-led, your life becomes a witness in ways human effort can’t achieve.
🌱 Transformation is a process. Surrendering daily is hard, but it produces freedom, purpose, and fruitfulness.
If you missed it, reflect this week:
👉 Where in my life am I relying on human instincts instead of God’s guidance?
Grateful for everyone who showed up this week — your energy, questions, and honesty make this community so meaningful. Let’s keep pressing into a life that reflects more than just the human — a life led by God.

Mid-Semester Night 🎉
Last night we took a break from our normal rhythm and celebrated a mid-semester hangout together. Huge thank you to Peyton Panozzo for sharing and encouraging everyone who may be walking through struggles with mental health. Your honesty and perspective meant a lot and reminded us how important it is to support each other.
After that we got to relax, laugh, and just enjoy time together with Mario Kart and board games — which may have gotten a little competitive 😅
Grateful for this community and the chance to grow in faith and friendship together. Nights like this are what make this group special.

🙏 God isn’t distant — He hears you. 🙏

This week we walked through Francis Chan’s message on what it really means to pray in a way that moves the heart of God. Prayer isn’t about saying the right words — it’s about aligning our hearts with His will and approaching Him with humility, faith, and obedience.

Key takeaways:
	•	❤️ God listens to surrendered hearts. Prayer isn’t about performance — it’s about relationship.
	•	🔥 Obedience and intimacy matter. When we live in step with God, our prayers reflect His desires.
	•	🙌 Prayer changes us before it changes circumstances. The goal isn’t control — it’s closeness.

If you missed it, reflect on this this week:
👉 When I pray, am I seeking God’s will… or just asking Him to bless mine?

Thankful for another powerful night together — the vulnerability and depth in the room were special. Let’s keep pressing into a prayer life that’s real and consistent.

⚠️ Going to church doesn’t automatically mean you know Jesus. ⚠️

This week we leaned into a hard but important question from Josh Howerton’s message: Is it possible to think you’re saved… but not actually surrendered? We talked about the difference between cultural Christianity and real, transforming faith.

Key takeaways:
	•	🔎 Belief isn’t the same as surrender. Knowing about Jesus isn’t the same as trusting Him with your life.
	•	❤️ Real faith produces real fruit. A transformed heart leads to transformed habits.
	•	🙏 Salvation is about relationship, not religion. It’s not about checking boxes — it’s about knowing and following Christ.

If you missed it, sit with this question this week:
👉 Is my faith something I practice occasionally… or someone I follow daily?

Grateful for how honest and open everyone was in this conversation — messages like this push us toward real growth.
