🎬 #97/100 — MARY (മേരി)
.
.
Director : @sreebuddha_official
.
.

Mary begins as a grounded Christian family drama about financial struggles, mounting debts and the vulnerabilities of old age. But gradually, it turns into a supernatural horror story with a dark moral core.

The story follows two brothers, Prince and Charles, who desperately need money to clear their debts. A lucrative land deal seems to offer a way out, but everything depends on their mother, Mary, being present for the signing.

When Mary unexpectedly passes away just before the deal, the brothers make a shocking decision: they hide her death for a day to secure the broker's commission.

What follows is an uncomfortable look at how desperation and greed can push ordinary people towards unthinkable choices.

The film's supernatural turn in the final act adds an element of retribution, connecting the horror to the brothers' moral failure and their disrespect towards their mother. While the low-budget limitations are occasionally visible, particularly in the climax's visual effects and pacing, the central idea holds the narrative together.

What works best is the film's atmosphere and its exploration of familial greed. It uses horror not just to frighten, but to question the values people abandon when money takes priority.

🎯 Sometimes, the real horror isn't losing your family. It's forgetting their value while they're still with you.

✂️ Zerocutz — Not long. Just lasting.
