On July 29 & 30, MÄZEN at Bootshaus was something truly special: a living experiment in community, collaboration, and collective energy, and possibly our most exciting event yet.

We were deeply honored to host an exhibition that sparked constant curiosity, dialogue, and interaction, created by the incredible and always supportive Andrea Otoya Covelli. Working together is always a pleasure and this time, the amount of care and effort behind it was immense.

Across the two days, 16 musical performances unfolded, a real treatment with ambient and experimental listening sessions. Each artist brought intention, openness, and a shared drive that kept the entire space alive and evolving.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to Matilde and Sara from Placebo Collective. Their help, presence and contribution were truly precious and unique throughout the whole process.

We’re also grateful for the support of Bacardi and Vinosteria, as well as KEYI Magazine and Tensione Collective, and most of all, to everyone: friends, familiar faces, artists, curious minds and people who are genuinely interested in this kind of authenticity, exchange and shared experience.

Seeing you so present, engaged and actively taking part brought us a huge amount of joy. That remains the greatest satisfaction. Real energy!

Beyond excited to exhibit a selection of paintings from my series “A Thread of Beings” at Casa di Davide.

Casa di Davide is a unique space in Amsterdam showcasing carefully selected vintage furniture and one-of-a-kind design pieces.

First Thursday at Casa di Davide | August 2026

After the wonderful opening last month, it’s time for the very first edition of First Thursday at the Casa:)

A monthly evening where design, art, music, photography, craftsmanship, and friends, old and new, come together in a relaxed setting. Every edition will feature a different creative guest, making each gathering a unique experience.

For this first edition, I’m excited to welcome Andrea, a Colombian artist based in the Netherlands with a background in both fine arts and psychology.

Andrea’s abstract paintings explore the hidden language of the body—capturing emotions, memories, and inner perception through expressive, intuitive gestures. Influenced by Buddhist psychology and her work in the therapy field, she approaches the canvas as a space for reflection, where the body, rather than the analytical mind, takes the lead.

Throughout the evening, Andrea will showcase a selection of her paintings, all available to admire and purchase. She’ll also be happy to share more about her artistic process, inspiration, and the stories behind her work.

Of course, the showroom will also be filled with a fresh selection of newly arrived vintage design pieces, so there will be plenty of new treasures to discover as well.

Join us for an evening of vintage design, contemporary art, music, drinks, and most importantly… connecting with each other. 😊

The last 4 months @karina_kalant and I have been creating something very special in the lab. It is finally ready and currently exhibited at @stedelijkmuseum from March 19-24.

We made a jacket with robotic hands that reacts to humans and caresses your back. Our purpose is to imagine the future of touch in relation to the widespread use of technology which is replacing a lot of direct physical human interaction.

In the near future will robots replace our need for touch and interaction with other human beings? If texting, and social media has replaced a big part of face-to-face interaction, what will happen once robots can provide tactile experiences for us in the future?

Untouched is a work that explores what the future of tactility will be in relation to technological advances such as AI and VR. It addresses the need for touch from a person by using fabric which recreates human skin texture (gives goosebumps) and fake hands which trick the user. Is touching g an action for two people or could it be only for one person?

How will user experience change once advertising companies and places such as the metaverse recreate and reproduce tactile perception. How will tactile VR impact the evolution of the human body? How will the changing structure of technology rearrange the form and function of the body?
