@carissaswierdofficial are an influential Seattle slowcore and chamber rock band formed in 1995 by Mat Brooke and Jenn Champion. Known for their sparse instrumentation, melancholy violin, and plaintive vocals, the band released three albums before disbanding in 2003. Their emotionally raw songwriting and distinct approach have cemented their place in the Pacific Northwest music canon, inspiring generations of listeners and artists alike.

Twenty-five years after their debut, Carissa’s Wierd return with Somewhere Further Than Far Away, their first new album in over two decades. The announcement marks a new chapter for a band whose music has continued to resonate across generations of indie listeners.

A much anticipated rarity, they will perform in just a few weeks in Los Angeles alongside American Analog Set, Sophia Stel, Dutch Interior, james K and more.
