Most of the time, we just talk about the outcome and barely scratch the surface on process. But with this TUI project, the process was just as memorable to me as the final cut, so I wanted to take a moment and honour that, as well as everyone involved 🫶.

Huge thanks to the TUI team who flew with us to Rhodes for this shoot @alexandrapopesq @skitco, the incredible (and very dear to me) cast family @noisizoe and @pascu.andrada and my partner in crime @bogdan.films. Working with all of them was lovely, easy, and most of all, fun.

It’s such a joy when you find people you genuinely vibe with, on and off set. 🍉🍉🍉

On technicalities, this entire campaign rests on just mine and Bogdan’s shoulders. We literally pulled everything together without a classic-sized crew to help move things along (in pre, prod and post). It just goes to show that when you really pour love and care into a project, you don’t always need a ton of manpower.

We also got to play with adding layers with AI, like the TUI cloud, which to me, is the best application of AI yet - mixing it with real footage and enhancing/ adding layers that would have once taken so much longer with classic VFX work. 🔥 There’s a few other AI nuggets throughout the campaign.

There are a bunch more films from this campaign rolling out soon over on TUI Romania’s account, so keep an eye out! 🎬🌴

Directing this film about @dyla.atelier, a brilliant and gracious designer from Turkey, went straight to my heart. Her artistry goes beyond her designs - it’s also in the way she approaches her work with tonnes of passion and care. It was a treat to spend time with her, hear her story, and witness a bit of her creative process.

All my love to @julesromanmakeup who introduced us, brought an invaluable creative direction flair to this and helped produce the shoot with us.

The full film will be up on my website next week, along with the full credits. Whoop whoop! 🔥

So life has been ‘life-ing’ (as she would) and I never got to post a film that’s been very close to my heart, which also got me to meet the loveliest, cutest family there is @noisizoe 🥰.

Here are a few fragments of what we shot together for Therme Group and BBC StoryWorks, for the In Pursuit of Wellness series, along with a few frames that I absolutely loved but which sadly didn’t make the final cut. I think that actually makes me love ‘em even more, ‘cause they now get to be their own micro moments, with their own little identities and emotions.

A bit of weekend fun: experimenting with AI-generated frames for an imaginary perfume spot. What’s interesting is the tension: smooth, hyper-clean textures on one side vs that more natural analog grain with 35mm touch on the other, and an overall vintage touch in the choice of colours, textures and overall mood.

🎬 Spent the day trying not to crack up every 30 seconds while working with the amazing Jack Whitehall, director James Kibbey, and wordsmith extraordinaire Alex Cooper (who had put together the scripts) —plus a crew that made it all run great!

What we pulled off in just a few hours of shooting was nothing short of ace. 💥 This is one of the 2 scenarios shot that day.

☀️🌧️ Come rain or shine…
I had an amazing time producing a series of videos with @andymurray for @larocheposay. From sunshine to on set controlled rain (thanks to the super patient and lovely team @machineshopsfx), we managed to shoot 2 pretty ample concepts in less than a day —and making rain on a sunny day was just such a blast to end the shoot with! 💧
