Înainte de deschiderea din 4 septembrie, aducem o parte din Beta la București.

Pe 21 august, de la ora 18:00 vă așteptăm la OTOTO Station – Urban Spaces Sfinții Voievozi pentru un preview al ediției din acest an.

Tudor Vlăsceanu va prezenta Beta 2026, iar seara va continua cu o conversație între Tudor și @cryptic.k, moderată de Anda Zota.

“We outside.” 😌 Cu ocazia lansării oficiale în România a cărții Concéntrico, în cadrul Bucharest Design Festival, am stat de vorbă cu Anda Zota despre comunitate și concluzia a venit fără ezitare: comunitățile se construiesc afară. În spațiile dintre clădiri, pe trotuare, în curți, pe malul apei. Acolo unde oamenii chiar ajung să se întâlnească.

Și poate de asta ne e atât de dragă. Pentru că susține Urban Spaces de ani de zile și, în același timp, Urban Spaces o susține pe ea. 📣Miercuri, 10 iunie, de la ora 19, la Institutul Francez continuăm seria întâlnirilor "Designer la ville" în cadrul Bucharest Design Festival, cu un dialog Anda Zota (arhitect, curator, redactor sef Igloo) – Olivier Peyricot (designer, cercetator, curator) despre tinerii designeri francezi și noile tendințe.

🎨Un dialog despre designul experimental, critic și angajat, în care cercetarea alimentează reflecția asupra modului nostru de viață.

🌿Iar din 9 iunie, pe gardul Institutului Francez (Bd. Dacia 77) vă așteaptă expoziția "Noi actori / noi teritorii ale designului francez". by @andazota

RAD on air.

Last Friday, Catinca Tabacaru (co-founder RAD) and Anda Zota (co-founder AÉ02 Studio) joined Mihaela Dedeoglu at RFI Radio to talk about where RAD is heading for 2026. What started as a conversation about the fair, quickly opened up into a broader reflection on how the Romanian art market has evolved, what it really takes to build this kind of fair locally, and some insights on this year’s RAD Pavilion that grows out as a structure that is shaping how art is experienced

Sometime in the late ‘40s, Diego Rivera starts designing a building that should host his impressive collection of pre-columbian art. He doesn’t work alone, but invites masters Frank Lloyd Right and Juan O’Gorman to help along. The building is inspired by *teocalli*, gods house, and built in local volcanic stone, in Mexican Folk Art style (a local critical reaction to Corbusier’s International Style). 2023 is the year the site inaugurated its newer extension by Taller Mauricio Rocha, one extraordinary piece of art that completes this lava landscape. by @andazota
