Silverstone Race Report 🏁
Last race of the season, and probably the most frustrating weekend yet 😅

We struggled with massive engine power issues all weekend. Qualified P28 out of 44 after failing to get a tow (classic Silverstone, right?). Race 1 went a bit better, made some moves early on and then just ran my own race, finishing in P23.

The last race of the season though? An absolute blast. With my championship position already secured, I decided to just enjoy every single corner before the long winter break. Sometimes you’ve gotta remember why you started racing in the first place ❤️

Huge thanks to @owenmillsracing_omr for the support all season and for keeping the car in top shape 🙌

Croft Race Report 🏁
Well… the first picture sums it up better than I ever could 😂

Friday testing? Organisers tried a new format → let’s just say, not a fan.
Quali: P12. Not the best, not the worst, but in one of the most competitive grids this season, I’ll take it.

Race 1 is where it all went sideways… quite literally inside the gearbox. Miss-shifted 3rd → 2nd at nearly 100km/h 💥 The poor little 1.6L kept fighting but with ~30hp missing, it was a struggle.

Definitely one for the “character building” folder.

Cadwell race report: BEST ONE YET GUYS!!!
Finally a weekend that I am happy with. Qualified P11 after a crazy close quali; P12 to P8 were all within 0.1 seconds, which shows how competitive this field is. Race one was my best yet, going from 11th to 8th in the first couple of corners, a pass on the back straight some laps later, and a final one on the last lap, finishing in P6. Race 2 was a bit hectic. I narrowly escaped the carnage (see first video) by taking a nice lawn mower line. On the first restart we had another crash and then 3 laps to the checkered flag on the 2nd restart.
Unfortunately in those 2 laps i lost to positions putting me in 8th.
Although I’m really proud of this weekend, and you can see my first attempt at doing donuts in the last video.

Oulton Park race report. Best quali yet, and the best races yet. Big thanks to @owenmillsracing_omr for the new car. Qualified P10, but the start procedure is something that I need to work on. Dropped down 7 places and managed to only get back 4 due to half the race being under a safety car. But it’s alright, second one went better finishing the day in P11 after another disappointing start. I had a lot of fun with the two guys in the video racing incredibly close and incredibly hard. On the the West of England for the next one.

A long overdue post from round 4. Qualifying is still not clicking but race pace is getting better and better. Qualified P22, made it to P16 in the first race. Second race started great, making it up to P13 in 2 laps and was hunting P12 and P11, until I touched a bit of water on the inside of the final corner which spun me round.
First half of the season is done, going to put it behind and completely focus on what’s next. Going to push 10 times harder!

Crazy weekend at Snetterton! Friday practice started with a bang 💥 in my driver side door and a need for a new suspension (picture 3) which put me on the back foot for testing.
Qualis went well but race 1 resulted in a DNF after 1 corner. The clutch piston gave up and we suspect it happened because of the crash on Friday. This meant a loss of points and more importantly starting the 2nd race from the back. This does mean a nice little edit for you guyswhere you can see me going from P29 to P16.

💥 DRIVER ANNOUNCEMENT 💥

There’s been some teasing over the last couple of weeks and today seems a good day to officially announce it… Andrei Istrate will be joining us for the 2025 season in the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championships!

Andi has carried out an extensive winter testing program and had made extremely good progress from the first day that he stepped in the car, we cant wait to see what the season has to hold for the first Romanian driver to race Mazda’s in the UK!

Andi: I am incredibly excited to finally make the step up from karts to proper car racing. The goal for this season is to get as close as I can to the guys in front and maybe even get to stand on the podium! 🏎️ taken in Silverstone Circuit by @andi.istrate
