Motherhood is a bridge—connecting the women who came before us to those who will come after.

In its beauty, it is also complex. We carry forward love, wisdom, and lessons—and sometimes, even pain.

I have come to understand that being a mother is part of a much larger story, and this has deepened my appreciation for every woman’s journey.

This year, the person who witnesses me most deeply as a mother—my husband, the man with whom I created life—captured these photos of me with our sweet little humans that I am so blessed to be a mother to. To me, that is the most precious Mother’s Day gift.

From the time we met, Misha’s family has lovingly called us “two halves of the same apple,” implying we complete each other. Now, we have joined our halves to create apples of life—children who will carry our story forward. Children who have given me my greatest role yet.

This is our shared history, made visible. And this is us—through my husband, their Papa’s, lens.
