Reminder: common and normal are not the same!

Almost every woman we’ve cared for has been handed the first word and heard the second. Someone tells her it’s normal, she assumes that means nothing needs to happen, and she goes home and waits it out. Sometimes for years.

So here’s the sentence worth memorizing for your next appointment:
“Do you mean this is common, or do you mean it’s fine?”
It’s a small question and it changes the conversation. It asks for a clinical opinion instead of reassurance, and it’s much harder to wave off.

And if you’ve raised the same thing three times and nothing has changed, asking someone else is not being difficult. It’s the correct next step.

This is Andi, our co-founder and a PA-C, doing what a consult actually looks like. Unhurried. Someone asking follow-up questions. The opposite of seven minutes and a shrug.

The longer we work in women’s health, the more we believe these 10 things.
Some are clinical. Some are just...true.

Time is the one thing we can’t buy more of, and somehow it’s the thing women are expected to give away first.

We talk about optimizing everything now: our sleep, our workouts, our protein, our hormones. But nobody talks about optimizing time, which is the asset underneath all of it. As we get older, and especially as moms, it stops being theoretical. The mental load is real. The calendar is full. And the thing that gets cut is almost always us.

Here’s what we keep coming back to: taking care of yourself doesn’t have to take more time, it has to take less friction. Make the healthy thing the easy thing. Stop rebuilding the plan every morning. Protect the small window you have instead of waiting for a big one that isn’t coming.

You are not behind. You’re just carrying a lot. 💜

As two women’s health clinicians, we’ve been watching the GLP-1 conversation evolve, and what excites us most isn’t just the weight loss data. It’s the emerging research on neurological disease, metabolic health, inflammation, and what these medications might mean for women’s health specifically in ways we’re only beginning to understand. Think perimenopause, PMOS and endometriosis.

We’re also watching an entire economy rebuild itself around this shift. The supplement industry, nutrition science, preventive care - all of it is being reimagined right now.

This is a conversation worth having. And we’re just getting started. What do you think of the evolving GLP landscape? by @andigynopa

As we head into #niaw we want to share something a little more non-traditional and uplifting. We also hope this conversation helps shed light on those going through secondary infertility - something we tend to leave out of the conversation about infertility in general. Hot topic - moms lose their identity after having kids. We’re not here for that! While you may not ever “get back to you,” finding a new more elevated version of yourself is what we’re here for. What are your thoughts? by @andigynopa

No one talks about the phase of motherhood when you stop having babies. The time of your life, you grieve a little bit for those early infant days, but you also know it's time to close that chapter. Andi and Suzie sat down to talk about the grief you often feel at this stage of life. How did you feel during this time? by @andigynopa

Perimenopause isn’t just “hot flashes.” It’s the subtle (and not-so-subtle) shifts—sleep changes, mood swings, brain fog—that can leave you feeling off.

Ashwagandha is one of the adaptogens we turn to for support. 🌿
This study found it may help ease common perimenopause symptoms like anxiety and hot flashes: https://www.academia.edu/79048966/

Making this kit feels like packing a care package for your nervous system 🧠💛

Hopping on this trend before it’s “too late” but honestly this throw back is really fun…

2016 started off in the throws of rotations during PA school planning my wedding and attending many others…

Three of my sisters graduated in the spring (two from college and one from high school!)

My now husband and I bought our first home 🥰 and we moved from the city —> suburbs (this was also him in a lot of ways choosing Philly and I’m forever thankful!)

We got married!!!! (Just some random weekend in PA school for me - I was back on my practicum site Monday morning 🤪)

I officially graduated from PA school (after quickly changing my name so my degree and license would all be consistent!)

PHEW! Big year!! But so were the next 10 😂… by @andigynopa
