I’ve been in the game of intuitive creating for many, many years now and what I teach will bring you so into yourself, that you can’t NOT express and create from a source that is greater than you.

And believe me when I say this changes your whole being, and therefore, your whole life. It is the most powerful tool I have come across, bringing together the forces of The Artistic and The Divine.

If you feel something as you witness this video — a little soul wink — come join my Artistic Divine Ceremonial Workshop coming up.

It all started with a 1970s typewriter and an idea.💡

1,000+ poems, dozens of festivals & events, and around $15K of earnings later… it’s a work of art and a business that just keeps giving! 🙏

type-a-poet — my soul poetry performance art experience — began when I was sitting at my desk one day, looking down at the typewriter I had just acquired from Marketplace, and something unexplainable had me just start typing poetry on it.

Immediately, a thought struck: “Wouldn’t it be so nice to type poems for people that they could keep?” 🥰

It filled me with so much joy that I was compelled to do it, so I test-ran the idea at a beautiful festival in the desert of South Australia. Within the first half an hour, I had a massive queue of people hungry for a personalised poem. I had to turn people away, I got so busy!

Throughout that festival, people kept coming up to me saying, “Oh, you’re the psychic typewriter poet!”

Being psychic was news to me! 😂

From that moment, I saw how the idea could scale to become an immersive performance art experience, as well as a micro, pop-up sideshow at events. I got strategic and successfully applied for some funding and Melbourne Fringe commissioned its official premiere.

The rest is history.

And just this weekend past, I was honoured to achieve a new first for type-a-poet, sharing it online and for a group at the Conscious Community Summit! It was so incredible they asked me to return for the Closing Ceremony and read the group poem out! 🥹

This is why I teach artists & creatives to follow their intuition and pursue the ideas that fill them with the most joy. It always pays off, artistically, financially, and at a soul deep level. 🔮

If you’re wanting to learn how to apply this to your creative ideas and artistic practice, I have 8 spots left on my Artistic Divine Ceremonial Workshop on Sunday 15th Nov, 10-3 at Shell Space, Brunswick (Melbourne). Link in bio or DM me. ✨

What an honour it has been to be a mentor on the Melbourne Fringe Realising The Potential Artist Lab this year! 💫

It was awesome being back at Fringe yesterday (I worked there last year as their Community Engagement Co-Ordinator and then for the Development team) to cheer on the artists who I worked with as they delivered their Pitches to industry for each of their projects in development.

What I notice about all the coaching, mentoring and facilitation work I do across the board is this…

It absolutely fills me up to the brim to help people become more of who they are, specifically through the turbo-charged way of doing this that is any creative process.

Nothing transforms people more than what a creative process takes them through.

So many people think of art and creativity as superficial or indulgent or a luxury or just a hobby… something that sits ‘over there,’ separate from their ‘serious life.’

So many also think they have to have many things in place first before they’re ‘allowed’ to explore their creativity and invest in creating a work of art. All the false priorities of constructed society have programmed so many to focus their energy on ‘sensible’ things.

But it’s entirely the other way around.

The act of receiving an idea from something beyond us and then using our human-ness to express it is SACRED. It is an initiation, a rite of passage to a greater version of ourselves.

And we don’t just write that book, perform that show, share that story… we end up writing, performing and sharing ourselves into a whole new reality.

Never underestimate how much the journey that your creative idea holds for you is more powerful, successful and heart-filling than pursuing those other false priorities. They get magically taken care of when you meet your edge and step into a creative journey.

Because it’s a soul game from a whole other realm operating in ways we cannot even begin to fathom.

For those who wish to cultivate this via their own unique expression of an idea, I offer you CREATE IN 8, starting Monday or, alternatively, my Wednesday Creative Practice Sessions, which are like an artist’s gym.

If the idea came to you, it’s because you are meant to follow it. I can always tell if someone’s idea is coming from their heart or not. And when it is, that’s when they’ll have all the fear, the doubt, the excuses crop up. Don’t fall for it! Pursue the idea!

Create in 8 starts next Monday. You get 8 weeks of hands-on support, guidance & inspiration from me to bring your creative idea or project to life.

No, you don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need the idea.

Yes, you can bring in an already-existing project that you’re feeling stuck on or wish to progress.

Yes, all artistic mediums & levels of experience do well in this program.

Let’s go! 🚀 Link is in bio or DM me.

When you dare to follow that little-big creative idea that keeps nudging you, something magical begins happening.💫

A particular type of joy awakens within you. It’s the same glee that overtook you as a child when you had a great idea and you just did it without thinking.

And it’s infectious. People are drawn to you and your idea because it carries this energy. This expansive expression of life through your specific lens.

You don’t need to know how the whole idea will come together or if it’ll even work. You just need to start. And just like me hula-hooping here in this video, you don’t care if it’s not perfect to start with.

You’re doing the thing. And that matters.

Never underestimate the power of following your artistic dreams.

CREATE IN 8 starts next Monday.

Time to stop making excuses and come receive the structure and support that will finally honour your creative idea and bring it to life.

I’ve worked on over a 100 theatre shows and helped countless artists & creatives across a variety of mediums make their dream projects happen.

You don’t need to have it all mapped out. You just need to show up and I’ll guide you.

JUST START AND KEEP GOING. You never know the journey bringing your idea to life will take you on.

When you feel that calling from your soul, you MUST pursue it. No matter how crazy, scary or big it may seem.

Create in 8 kicks off next Monday. Come join the journey and turn your creative ideas into reality. ✨
