Many of us know that mess work doesn’t always bring in enough money. A lot of us stay on the road and continue to push our bodies to the limit for the love of the job. Along with the sense of freedom we enjoy, there is also the sense of community that keeps us going. Many of us form bonds so tight that we become family. This family stretches to almost every city in the world.

Riyandt has been working hard to make his dream of traveling throughout Asia to connect with the “messfam” a reality. Our jobs as messengers has done so much to shape and build the city’s that we call home. Riyandt wants to share that message to the messfam all over Asia. He wants messengers to know that even though we are solo for most of our shifts, we are all part of this global family and we will never be truly alone.

This is where the worldwide messfam comes in to help. As hard as Riyandt works, some countries aren’t economically secure as others. Life in Indonesia is not easy. In order for him to achieve his goal he is asking for help to make this happen. Riyandt has asked me to create this fundraiser on his behalf to help his dream become a reality. Any amount helps goes a long way so please donate what you can! by @andofumando

Back in February we hosted the goldsprints for @piparaicing_02 and @stephsux recovering from their surgeries leaving them unable to work. Pipa is back on the road, working everyday to get back to 100%. Steph still has a long road to recovery, leaving her out of work for a little while longer.
We still have so many of the amazing tshirts designed and printed by @shark_eye to raise money.

•The iconic moment of Pipa poppin a wheelie mid race, captured on camera by @thatfixielife from @krussia_ ‘s Bedford Burning race.
•Nurse Martha displayed front and center with the message “S.O.S.” (Save Our Steph). Cheylene brought this idea to life!
•Sweettooth NYC design by the legendary Zecs @agamex from Japan with a little first aid edit thanks to @antfiretts91

Order a t-shirt off our webstore: “Messcrib NYC” via nycbma.org and choose for either local pick up or shipped right to your door! Profits from “De Lo Mío” shirts go towards the NYCBMA funds that help us continue putting on events for the messenger community. Profits from the “S.O.S.” and Sweettooth NYC “911” shirts, go directly to Steph as she takes her time to recover to get back on the road!

Get yourself a shirt that will have everyone asking you, “Where can I get one?!?” Order a shirt today! by @andofumando

Hey everyone, this is Coco. As you may know, NYCBMA has operated mostly between myself and Ando over the last three plus years. Ando managed to successfully host this past weekend’s fun event, in support for CMWC Milan, amongst many fundraisers and supportive efforts we’ve recently curated. Now, it’s time we take care of Ando.

Ando is advised to stay home and recover from a torn calf muscle, for the next 6-8 weeks, and he’s gonna need all the help we can get. Modest and stubborn as he may be, he cannot take time off from work. I ask that we (family and friends, colleagues and acquaintances), please make a collective effort to support my fellow BMA partner, my friend, and messbrother, with his rent and finances; to assure he will not have to be forced to work thru that duration, wishing him to be relieved of stress by any means, and to commit to a speedy recovery.

The link to Ando’s GoFundMe is within our bio. Please share!

In addition to this GoFundMe, new BMA recruits, Gabby, Lee, myself and friends will be doing all what we can to raise funds for Ando, so stay tuned for updates. Want to help? Message us or comment ideas to contribute!
