Thanks to @_joshuasimpson for doing my voice over for me! Sometimes Instagram algorithm makes me lose the will to live!
Maybe I should get him to do all of my voiceovers???

Even bigger thank you to @katetakesphotostoo who’s always trusted me and the creative process, I love collaboration days with her!

We used @dangerjonescreative colour, for the lightener and the creative work. I was running out of stuff in the morning, and legged it over to @chrisandsonsuk, I will be forever grateful that I only live 10 minutes away from them!

We’re using 7.44 Majirel on the roots and a few different mixes of 7.44 & 8.43 Dia Color for the ends to add that glowing dimensional finish!
Fresh copper is just so damn good!
To maintain at home I’d tell you to grab a copper conditioner and use every third or fourth wash to maintain vibrancy!

It’s wild how much lighting can change the way colours look, even the brightest, most vivid ones!

In the salon, the lighting’s nice and even, so you can really see the full range and depth of the shades and they’re more true to tone.
But then you step into the sun, and everything suddenly looks way warmer. The sunlight can make colours look a lot warmer than they actually are and sometimes it can wash them out and blend the tones together
Then in the shade, it’s the opposite. The lack of direct light cools everything down, making colours appear softer, more muted, and sometimes even slightly dull.

It’s amazing how much our perception of colour can change depending on the light around us.
So which one do we prefer?

Formula Fridays!
✨✨Here’s how to achieve the most seamless blend for the glossiest cinnamon balayage ✨✨

For our roots and maximum grey coverage I used equal parts of 6.0 + 6.3 + 6.35 Majirel
And for the ends I wove out alternating chunky weaves of 9.3 Dialight & 7.32 + .35 Dia Richesse making sure each section was fully saturated.

Come with me do one of the most complicated colour corrections I’ve done in a long time.

After the consultation, I reached out to my hair besties to brainstorm- because let’s be real, freelancing is great, but I do miss bouncing off ideas to a team! A few calls later, I had a solid plan!

Then—plot twist! Between our consult and the visit, my client got a semi-permanent color elsewhere, adding another layer to the challenge. Luckily, it didn’t derail my plan, my main concern was to get an even lift.

The goal? Blend and lighten the ends, soften the orange (we like warmth, just not that warmth!), and, of course, keep as much length as possible.

I decided that working section by section would give me maximum control. I used @dangerjonescreative lightener in 20vl for my highlights, and then in between I used @lorealpro_education_uki 6.01,7.01+7 in Dia richesse on the mid band and 8.1 Dia Color on the ends. and in every colour I Used @brazilianbondbuilderuk

Once rinsed, I tackled three-zone toning—sounds boujie, but it’s just strategic placement. For all of my toning I used Dia light. I did 6 on the roots, blended that into 7.23+yellow mix on my mid band and then blended that down to 9.82 and let it develop for 20 minutes.

We did a hair cut and maintained the length. For styling I used @k18hair leave in, @colorwowhair dream coat and @andhoney_japan hair oil 3.0

After seven and a half hours (yes, you read that right!), I was absolutely gobsmacked. The blend? Flawless. The condition? Chef’s kiss. The length? Still intact! Honestly, it turned out even better than I expected!!!
