I’m co-producing an amazing stand-up comedy show, and I would love to see all of you there who live in Los Angeles and surrounding areas! I have taken an incredibly long hiatus from social media, choosing to celebrate special occasions and events in my life in more private ways.
But today, I had to jump back in to publicly honor the man who is part of the reason why I’m on this earth.
A man who led and taught by example.
A man who overcame many barriers in life to achieve an extremely high level of professional success.
A man who never took “no” for an answer.
A man who proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam.
A man who fought for racial equality by participating in the non-violent sit-in demonstrations led by Dr. Martin Luther King.
A man who taught me the true meaning of what it means to be a gentleman.
A man who showed me how to stand tall as a proud black man.
On this day, Ernest B. Walker, my father, was born.
I will forever treasure his presence in my life, and he will forever be my hero.
God blessed me with a phenomenal father.
I love you dad, and I miss you like crazy!

I know it’s not Thursday, but I’m still gonna throwback because this date is significant.
Two years ago today, I had the privilege of working with John Boyega @johnboyega for a month during reshoots for his movie “Pacific Rim: Uprising”. The very first day I had to do stunt double work for him, so they suited me up and threw me in the movie.
John is a tremendously talented actor, and it was truly an honor to work with him. And I can’t forget to give a shout out to the phenomenal director Steven S. DeKnight @stevendeknight who tackled this monstrous production with unrivaled creativity, a genuine attitude, indomitable spirit, and true professionalism.
Thank you John and Steven for an amazing experience that I will never forget!

Life will continue throwing obstacles in our way,
We will be disappointed by friends and family,
Our belief in ourselves and humanity will be pushed to it’s limits,

Whenever something causes us to feel a certain amount of pressure, it usually results in one of a few responses: Either we run hard towards it, or we give it the Heisman and run in another direction away from it. I chose to give social media the Heisman for a minute because there were times when I was feeling a slight bit of pressure to post, if I’m keeping it all the way real.

I never allow pressure to dictate my actions because it causes me to make moves that aren’t authentic, and I’m definitely all about being as authentic and true to myself as possible in every aspect of my life. Always use your purpose to propel you, and it’ll never steer you wrong. Do things out of a deep sense of purpose, not for proof.
So now I’m stepping back into social media after doing a significant amount of reflection; mainly on LOVE for myself and others, the focus on my FIGHT and who and what I’m fighting for, refueling my already intense PASSION, and re-establishing the fact that everything I’m doing is for God’s GLORY.
That shirt that I’m wearing in the pic is one of my gym shirts, and it’s crazy how I just randomly found it in the store, even though nothing is ever really “random” right?
So just a heads up y’all, you might be seein’ some stuff pop up here that’s a tad bit dated, but honestly I don’t care. The bottom line is that I’m remaining unapologetically authentic, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Today will mark two years since my dad...my hero rose to the heavens.
I will honor the amazing man that he was by pursuing everything that I want in this life to the fullest. He set that example and lived it every day of his life. My dad never quit, was always motivated by excellence, stood tall in the face of adversity, and always fought for what he believed in. That same fight, that same warrior spirit lives inside of me, and I am eternally grateful to be the son of Ernest B. Walker.
I love and miss you dad. Together we fight on!
